Brandon's December jobs report was a dismal 199,000 jobs despite persistent labor shortages. Economists were shocked by the faceplant they had expected 422,000 new jobs. The US economy has 10,562,000 unfilled positions, yet, Brandon can't even come up with 200,000 new jobs. It's becoming Mayor Pete syndrome.

It should have done so when the economy was collapsing, instead of running unnecessary deficits in times of growth.

It's been the same thing for 35 years: a Republican is elected in a period of growth, he wrecks the economy, runs deficits and leaves behind a recession.

Voters elect a Democrat to pick up the pieces and the cycle begins again.

And when it's not a recession, it's a war, an out-of-control pandemic... or a riot to overthrow democracy.... or all three at the same time.
