    Nothing fake about it

This is the precursor to BLS and its showing a net loss of jobs.

It's further validated by White House staff blaming omicron for the loss.

What? Everything I've heard and am experiencing is that the supply chain of goods is what's helping to cause scarcity and inflation.

Supply chain issues have been around since the start of the pandemic. Best solution there would be to get rid of Trump's idiotic tariffs. And, yes, inflation has risen . . . which tends to happen when the economy is growing, unemployment is low, and interest rates are low.

"Another" recession? Did he "induce" one yet?

In reality, the two last recessions happened under GOP presidents. Just saying. I am sure, though, you have rewritten this history in your own mind.

Trust someone who doesn't know words to step in and explain it to us... GDP decline is negative growth. And while, I suppose, one could make the point that a drop in growth percentage is a decline, contextually, the note wouldn't make sense. If job numbers continue to slide, the GDP numbers will go from growth to decline. As in shrinkage, not slowed down growth. And then, after two consecutive quarters, folks will call it recession.

This is the ADP report which comes out on Thursdays. The Jan reports is expected to be poor due to many taking extended sick leaves due to Covid, and if that is the case, the same people will be added back in Feb.

No. A decline in growth would be a drop from +6 to +5 (which would still be exceptionally good) while negative growth is below zero.

Nonesence :wierdface:Growth is a measure "quarter or period of time" you increase growth/profits! Any time production or sales decrease BELOW your current output/less you enter what is considered negative growth..

Thank you again for confirming you know nothing about what a recession is.
GDP decline is NOT "NEGATIVE GROWTH." It is LESS POSITIVE GROWTH, but positive growth none the less!!!!

The numbers are seasonally adjusted. And it is predicted the report tomorrow will show a further dropped in the LFPR.
Biden didn't need a magic wand he just needed to get out of the way the same as back in 2009, he is causing much of our current economic situation.

It must be the miracle on ice today. Jobs were up almost 500K. Even after folks for the previous days had announced a much different tune. Hmm......

Expectations and ADP numbers were way off vs BLS, but it boil down to when the measurements were taken. ADP has a different method.

    And this:

"December, which initially was reported as a gain of 199,000, went up to 510,000. November surged to 647,000 from the previous reported 249,000. For the two months alone, the initial counts were revised up by 709,000. The revisions came as part of the annual adjustments from the BLS that saw sizeable changes for many of the months in 2021."

The unemployment rate is currently 4%. It's almost full employment.

There is a historic shortage of labor in the country.

It's therefore impossible for unemployment to increase other than temporarily.

Some people need to put the cork back on the champagne bottles which they popped open to celebrate the ADP numbers.

They can eat some ass-cake instead
