Nonsense. Guns are designed for many uses, none of which are to murder innocent people. Neither is language developed to murder the truth, though many do so. An out of court settlement is not a legal finding or precedent or admission of guilt. If anything, it shows a lack of faith in our legal system.

People commit murder with hammers... so sue hammer manufacturers? People get killed and hurt in cars... so outlaw cars? Gees... this is getting out of hand.

unless the advertisement said buy a Remington and go kill a bunch of kids I don't see how it would.

It appears to me to be just malicious litigation.

And somehow that means go kill a bunch of kids explain.

How did they misrepresent the product? Did they say you could fire it at people and they wouldn't die or get injured? Or did they make a vague appeal to masculinity?

The comments of some of Progressive Left members on this forum are amusing, and I believe speak for themselves.

The perspectives of people like you are just wacky, in my opinion, and it's rather hard for me to believe people like you help your cause.
But like I often say, it might be a really bad idea to underestimate things that seem insane. ("Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups", as the saying goes)

Someone bought a gun from a gun company and then someone else used it to murder people, and now you are 100% convinced the gun company is responsible for those murders. You just seem to be assuming it as a fact without any doubt or question.

What's next? Are police baton manufacturers going to get sued for police brutality?
A cement company gets sued when a victim is given "concrete shoes" by the mob?
How about a stun gun manufacturer gets sued when somebody stupid shoots themself and it causes them to go into cardiac arrest?
