But I thought the problems were in the East of Ukraine in the Donbass area and that the Galicians wanted to kill off the Russians and take their lands. Now you're telling me that it's the Russians in the Donbas that want to kill the Galicians and take their lands. Wow, who would have known?
There is no humanitarian crisis even in the towns that the Russians and DPR have freed near the south of Ukraine, so how can there be a humanitarian crisis in an area West of the Dneiper River where the Russians haven't stepped?

    I would question my sources.

You need to question your sources. The alternate reality they have created for you is absolutely absurd. In fact, it is so absurd that it has you gung-ho supporting an atrocity.

If I was anywhere in the Ukraine I'd be heading west as fast as I could. I'd stop in Poland for a ten minute rest then keeping heading west until I could dip my hand in the Mississippi River.

If I was fifty years younger I would. I joined the US Army in 1970... retired in the 90's.

You can fly to Kiev, or the nearest airport with service, and join the war. I'll pay for the plane ticket.

The Ukraine military is using military technology the Russians can't even sniff. Russian armor is being destroyed left and right.

We can chalk that up to the fog of war. The “ship” may turn out to be a rubber dingy. Who knows? You don’t normally engage isolated forces.

You wont find it in the media, but Russia is taking heavier losses in attempt to avoid civilian casualties, not because Ukraine 'has superior weapons.' And as our own military knows all to well from our engagements over the last several decades, strict rules of engagement make the fight harder and more costly when the opposing force doesn't have to follow those same rules. Russia knows it already forfeited the moral high ground in the eyes of the international community by invading. They hope to achieve a quick victory with low collateral casualties to lessen the political fallout afterward. Of course, if the world doesnt know that, then it wont matter, and they'll likely stop worrying about it soon...

Ukraine has certainly proven a more resilient foe than Russia's blitz strategy indicated they were expecting. Much of the Russian forces are out of supplies because they left their supply lines open to attack (which the Ukrainians took full advantage of) in anticipation of a much quicker victory. However, Russia had only committed about half of its available forces in the region to the campaign, and has only been using its 'high impact' weapon systems like mass artillery, heavy bombers and conventional ballistic missiles in a very limited capacity. I expect if Russia cant get a neutrality guarantee out of Zelensky tomorrow at their talks, the focus on minimalizing civilian casualties will be sidelined. The result will be a far more effective offensive and a lot more collateral destruction.

Maybe the charred body of the person behind that account is lying somewhere on a wheat field in Ukraine. Or standing in line for ATM to get some cash to buy buckwheat.

Ok. I challenge you to a gun fight. You get a musket, I get an M60. Fair?

Of course weapons systems advance just like everything else. Especially in mechanized units. Targeting systems, positioning, electronics... those all create major advantages to those with newer technology. Simply making things go boom doesn't translate to effectiveness.

Your media feeds you propaganda, and you just gobble it up.

Except in WWII... Russia would be Germany invading other countries. The aggressor.

    Source this from non-Russian media?

You're right. Putin acted like a small man bully, and just incentivized lots of other countries to join NATO. Russia's only friend is China.

    LOL. Only Russia.

The Ruble is dying. Rightfully so.

LOL @ your complete inability to make a post without Trump in it. Dear god.

What does his time in the oval office have to do with this topic?

Seriously. It's comedic gold at this point.

Right? Just launching unguided rockets at a population center. No care for civilian lives. Russia is the joke of the world right now.

Even in Vietnam, where the US famously fought with one hand behind their back, enemy casualties outpaced American losses. Russian dead were higher in their wars against the Germans, Japanese, British, and French. Even the times they won, they had more casualties. Fighting Russian troops is a joke. If it was a normal size country it would have been conquered as many times as Poland has.

I agree with you. The Russian army is already taking the kid gloves off and just attacking indiscriminately.
