The White House call records are definitely lacking, a full account of the President's calls.

That is the way that practically ALL crimes are investigated, Doombug.

Even at the end of the investigation, the charges are just the contentions of police, and prosecutors; they remain "alleged," crimes.

It is not until the jury verdict, or plea & sentencing before a judge, that we consider the result, a fact. If you have no interest in anything before it has been adjudicated, it makes one wonder why you are even involving yourself, with this thread.

Oh, I see-- you are here to misrepresent the situation; to do some partisan obfuscation. The absence of call records, is not an ambiguous, or sketchy contention, by any means. It would probably better serve your ends, if you could come up with possible, alleged, innocent explanations for it.

The people who believe Trump is guilty of a crime, those who think Trump did little or nothing wrong and the ones that don't care are not going to change their mind

Fine, and now we get to the bottom with all the facts in order to make a proper decision on the disposition of the ones that carried out the crimes.

 

Do you mean to be presenting yourself as maintaining that, in any such case in which the waters had been, "poisoned," it would be your view, even if you believed a person guilty-- regardless of the crime-- that the most appropriate course of action, would be to let the suspect go, without it being pursued, by the criminal justice system?


Frankly, I find it hard to believe that would be the case.

 

If the DA office does not think that they can get a conviction, they drop the case

There is not going to be a smoking gun that is going to lead to any convictions. This is only about the court of public opinion

 

As to your 1st contention, I will point out that it is impossible for you-- as it is for anyone-- to predict the future, with certainty. Your guess may wind up being correct (your odds can't be too bad, with only two possible choices), but there is no other way to find out, other than to investigate. As it is unclear as to whether or not the Justice Department is at all looking into this case, it is all the more important for the Committee to gather whatever facts it can, for possible referral to the DOJ.


As to your second point, I will note that all of our political system is founded on public opinion. So, in the case of a former politician, who evidently intends to run for office again, his actions during his initial incumbency seem a very appropriate thing to be exposed, at least in the court of public opinion. Why would one disagree with that?

 

Sure, that's the likely motive for covering a larger crime, but what's happening here is likely a crime in and of itself... and without a proper record, you have to determine those other crimes without using these records, then circle back and use this as evidence....

Fill me in, on what is so important about these emails. If they are not directly incriminating of JOE Biden, however, it seems like more of that artificial, often hypocritical, canned rage, which Republican Congressmen, particularly, are so fond of opening up. (Oh, and the Washington Post is exponentially more of just a mouthpiece for the Right, than is the MSM a servant of the Left, as is reflexively asserted, here, by you Righty posters).

 

It takes 67 senators to vote guilty for impeachment and removal. But this does remind me of the 18-minute gap in the Watergate tapes, Nixon era.

 

Yes, impeachment is not a real possibility (yet if Republicans retake the H.O.R., there is no guarantee they won't impeach Biden, anyway).

And this hiding of Presidential communications, during a riot at the Capitol, certainly is a super- sized version of the "Little Dicky," special. Of course those Nixon tapes, were not even official record- keeping, but only, Nixon's private enterprise.
