No, it is not. The book of Revelation is apocalyptic literature not a literal book of what the future will bring. It was written to comfort the Christians suffering under Nero and Domitian.

If the rainbow actually stood for the protection of god, maybe the two main groups waving the rainbow could get together on that.

I'm pretty sure same sex couples would be accepting of protection, rather than what they get.

Here is what I don't understand about the story of Noah. If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, then why didn't He realize that humans were going to turn evil by that point and do something before He had to destroy everyone but one family? Also, why would a loving God kill 99%+ of the animals on the Earth because humans had turned evil? It makes about has much sense as a boat with the dimensions as described in the Bible, being big enough to hold two of every species and enough food to feed them all.

And unless you refuse to eat at Red Lobster for serving shellfish, or boycott Target for selling clothes that are cotton blends, **** about the gays, you're just cherry picking your verses.

He hates sin, not people. He created people perfect in his image. Sin is what caused imperfection and death. With sin people are predisposed to certain temptations. Homosexuality is one of them. People with an urge to do gay sex can resist it and abstain from it as much as a kleptomaniac can overcome stealing. God hates the sin not the person regardless of the sin being engaged in. All have the opportunity to win the victory over whatever sin is each persons hang up as God can give it to all who ask for it
