So white people commit far more crimes than black people. What is your point?

 

No they don’t white men commit more crime, than any other group with the exception of murder

Or are you just forgetting about that pesky little mathematical concept known as per capita?

When the numbers are adjusted for population the story is much much different

 

FBI crime statistics do not lie except when they show that a gun purchased for self defense is more likely to be used on the gun owner or on a friend than on a stranger?

 

Feel free to post the statistics about that directly from the FBI

 

Considering that more than half of gun deaths are suicides means I don't need to go any further. Guns make suicides so much easier. A large number of suicide attempts are by people reaching out for help, a suicide attempt with a gun negates any help offered in the huge majority of suicide attempt cases.

Then we have stranger/non-stranger gun death stats:
21.9% stranger gun homicide

I'm more interested in specifically proving your specific claim.

Showing gun deaths does not prove your claim.

There's roughly 400 million guns in the United States. Do the math

 

Do the maths on what? On guns are too easy to obtain? Or are you referring to Firearm-related injury is now the leading cause of death among children and teens ?

 

I'm referring directly to the claim that you made.... Have you already forgotten it or do you just think moving the goal post is enough?

You made a very specific claim and very specific claims require specific evidence.

 

If white men would simply commit less crime, you wouldn't have to adjust the numbers.

 

My point is this.... If roughly 60% of the population commits 20% of the violent crime.

But 13% of the population commits 15% of violent crimes.... Who commits the most violent crimes.... Per capita.

( Numbers are rough estimates but I think the point is clear)

Historically the black American culture, community and family were relatively crime free until they were targeted as a people for destruction for over a century through systemic institutional racist policies and programs throughout what is still often called the "progressive era".

 

You should probably research this subject a bit more.

They can't even deny that. The whole world sees the double-standard when they justify a criminal being shot solely based on one officer's "fear" but Trump and them sat in dead silence while thousands of them attacked Capitol police officers and they defend that and even insist they are being treated unfairly. So, if this can happen in broad daylight on camera, why do they try to pretend it doesn't happen behind closed doors in every police station and court room across this country? The "stats" are worthless just like all of them. I hope they figure out how to secede. Good riddance.

 

The link that Burl uses the FBI database which expresses the number as a percent of total population - that is why I challenged him on it because there are only a couple of areas where the crime rate appears higher for African Americans

Are YOU factoring in poverty, implicit bias, socioeconomic disadvantage and the very fact that these statistics are kept. Why are you breaking people up into groups based on the colour of their skin? Would it not be better to break it up into regions or socioeconomic status or household income or educational level or……..

 

Take it up with the FBI they're the ones who compile the statistics.

This isn't a thread about black people and crime in America.

The story we're getting is that the shooter believed Abe was involved in a religious cult that took all of his mother's money or something. Sounds pretty unlikely so he's probably some kind of schizo. He had a military career at one point but left it for a factory job for reasons I'm not aware of.

Stats do not lie, people lie to cover up stats. Sound familiar?

 

You're reading is off, whites commit more drug crimes, and blacks commit more violent crime. they are 5 x more likely to kill each other, and a white person is 43x more likely to suffer a felonious assault by blacks than the other way around.

Would you like some stats on blacks assaulting asians? Just ask, it's no problem to find stats.
