    Another example of trying to use government to force compliance with laws that people have already willfully ignored.

    Those lines may help to slow drivers who obey traffic laws, but will do nothing to deter street racing.

    Something physical needs to be installed like high walled round-abouts, speed humps, etc.

    Every car should be limited to 100 horse power.

    That would solve the issue.

    (Obvious sarcasm, but ironically how the left approaches the gun issue)

    You have a legal tool, people are mis-using, in the face of established laws that could result in deadly outcomes. Users of these tools must be trained, licensed, tested and the tool registered.

    Really pretty similar.

    Speed bumps would be the least expensive and most effective. Those lines though have been shown to be very effective at reducing speed.

    Maybe you don’t know but users cannot “delete posts” but thank you for acknowledging the bias that occurs on this site.

    So you posted a quasi-satire site, omitted key details and now don’t realize that cars are already licensed and insured? If you do why would you post it as possible solutions?

    What “issues” do you believe are being ignored?

    Or, you can run away.

    More than half of them are not in effect -- why will they be ineffective if and when they are put into effect?

    And cobblestones. Not sure how many people have driven over them, but they are not fun. We have a cobblestone street in our historic district and I avoid that thing like the plague. When I had to go to a doctor in that area, I would park a few blocks away and walk instead of in the parking garage right beside the doctor's building.

    You want me to prove that vehicles are licensed and insured? That’s fascinating

    Licensing and registration have been shown to increase driver safety especially in nations where they are implemented very strictly like in many parts of Europe where there is a much lower traffic violation / accident rate than the US has.

    I gave you an opportunity to make your point. You refused to do so, when you do we can continue with this… I hate to call it debate because that would require some logic… this discussion.
