The sub text here is that America is going through a demographic change. The political dynasties of WW2 gave way to their children who are now dying off, retiring, or have become irrelevant. The WW2 boys and their offspring kept us out of world wars and kept us generally on the path to greatness by concentrating on what they could control. We owe them practically everything we have now.

Now our current crop of idealists have planted the seeds of our suicide: We have too much money, dammit. So we have decided to embark on a path of economic suicide by declaring a war on fossil fuels with the goal of changing the earths natural cycles regardless of the cost.
Hope fully the Republicans will take 2024 and save us from our idealists.

Are you suggesting that Trump had John McCain murdered?

The Bushes Certainly represent a "Dynasty" (with 2 Presidents, 2 Big State Goverenors, and other Elective Offices)...
BUT--In what Universe would one consider:
The Clintons (2 Elected - Bill and Hillary)
The Cheneys (2 Elected - Dick and Liz)
    McCain (1 Elected - John)
To be referred to as "Dynasties"?

Also, McCain's seat was filled by a democrat, and is the reason the Dems have control of the Senate.

Not something to be bragging about.

Save us how? The climate is changing at a pretty rapid pace already. Are you hoping they will further accelerate that and kill off humanity in a hurry?

Why are you even reading that idiotic propaganda rag Breitbart? It's a political tabloid. It's sugar for a diabetic audience, to paraphrase the Florida prosecutor who was fired by DeSatan for refusing to enforce unjust laws that violate people's civil liberties.

The ignorance you're espousing here is an example of that which is being used to turn your entire party into an autocratic, violent, revolutionary putsch seeking to impose minority rule over the country and take away people's rights against their will. On top of that, this party's policies threaten the entire world with more climate change-caused destruction.

You're being hysterical. The worst climate projections put Antartica partially thawing in 200 years, and completely thawing in another 100-200. And thats a worst case scenario. And we have a long way to to go beyond Antartica thawing before 'everyone dies.' 200 years is a reasonable amount of time to switch to carbon neutral energy (while at the same time taking advantage of the thawing permafrost that will make excellent farmland in a warmer climate). Just because we're not dropping everything now to try to fix something hundreds of years in the future is no excuse to fearmonger about everyone dying, as if its soon.

You're being myopic. Droughts and storms are getting worse. The arctic is rapidly thawing, which affects weather all over our hemisphere. The ocean is growing warmer and more acidic as its dissolved CO2 content increases, affecting both weather and ocean life. The ocean levels are rising as this melting goes on also, and it poses a threat to ocean currents that govern weather patterns and climate on land.

We should not be actively worsening this situation by pretending that there is no alternative to drilling and burning more damned fossil fuels. Our investment must be in less harmful alternatives, and that is the main thing that concerns me -- investing in alternative energies to get away from dumping all of this CO2 into the atmosphere and oceans. Republicans like to bitch about green energy, but it is vitally important to the planet that we develop and implement it.

Of course, realistically, this will happen over time no matter who is in office over a given 2-, 4- or 6-year period in the US, but I don't see why we should have a party in power that lies to its constituents in order to gain that power and brings harm to our democracy and to the world in the process.

Trying to get off fossil fuels in 6 or even 20 years will cause gigadeath all over the world from starvation... maybe not in the US, but certainly in the nations we export to. Is that acceptable, given we still have plenty of time to do it a lot slower and starve way less people in the process?

And exactly how to you get the rest of the world to shut off the fossil fuel energy switch before the great climate disaster strikes?

The funny thing about this thread is, Donald Trump would absolutely love it if there was a Trump dynasty in elected office. I'm all but certain his kids will end up running for one office or another, especially once pops is out of the way for one reason or another.

If we could get rid of the rest of the career politicians, it would be a start. And my comment means both sides of the aisle.

That makes no sense. But speaking of other nations, many of them are suffering more than we are from climate change's effects. What we do has global repercussions.

”dust storms are getting worse” Since when? Since you were old enough to turn on a TV?
The problem is climate change happens over eons, and you want to use your little sliver of existence to proclaim you can interpret the future based on your insignificant time on earth.
    BTW:
What do you plan to change the climate too?
And if you get there how do you stop.
And if a country gets advantaged by the change, do you tell they your right to your weather trumps theirs?
Are you against changing the earth’s axis “just a smidge”.

Liz Cheney rips into Republican voters, leadership as ‘very sick’ after landslide primary loss.

'Not surprisingly, the feeling is mutual among Republican voters.'

"Trump-backed challenger Harriet Hageman defeated Cheney by 37 points on Tuesday."

If you don't agree with Cheney, you are 'sick' according to this delusional self righteous clown.

"I think it also tells you that large portions of our party, including the leadership of our party, is very sick," she claimed.

Folks of WY see not reason to have this DC turd that thinks she is better than them, represent them, when her views do not align with theirs. So, quite sensibly, they gave her her walking papers and selected one of the very best environmental lawyers in the nation.

"Republican Party leader McCarthy said earlier this week that he believes he’ll be the next speaker of the House."

"I believe so. We’ll win the majority and I’ll be speaker. Yes," McCarthy said in an exclusive interview with Fox News on Monday as he pointed toward the likely regaining of the House majority by the GOP in November’s midterm elections."

"Cheney, however, doesn't think he should be. "I don't believe he should be speaker of the House and I think that's been very clear," she said.'

And because she rejected her constituents, she will have no say in the matter. Personally, I'd prefer Trump or Scalise as Speaker.

He already served his purpose. He kept Clinton out and has complexly exposed the Democrats as the subhuman monsters they are.

The only RINO's are tRaitor tRump and his followers. Liz Cheney is a true Republican, not that, that's anything to be proud of.
