Why are we down to just 5000? Did you look at the historical numbers I posted?

    How many have proven reserves?

So now its “just 5000”………….FFS, you righties are shameless

Well, you have to drill into a reserved to determine its reserves. You can use that in conjunction with other data, but the base drilling is a required function of that determination

Yes you keep harping that Biden is doing a great job because there are FIVE THOUSANDS leases out there..........................I asked the salient question why so LOW, historically LOW. How does that increase production HERE.

NO, I said YOU are wrong to think that not having that land leased is in any way effecting gas prices.

Why so “low”…..ever hear of supply and demand ?

You are claiming supply and demand is the reason Biden only has 5000 open oil leases........ROFLMAO...........REALLY??? You seen the price lately?

Your post get more absurd the further this goes.

    JFC man…….your being beyond obtuse…….

There are 5000 UNUSED leases that are already purchased by private entities. If they have that many then WTF do they need more ? They haven’t event tried the 5000 they have.

So tell us oh wise one, how many leases should the oil companies have, and how many should they be sitting on and not drilling? What is that exact number because YOU are the one claiming that those leases are the cause of gas prices

YES and YOU are beyond obtuse I gave you the history of how many it takes to keep our product sustained at the levels pre-COVID and where they need to be NOW. Why are we down to a paltry 5000? Answer me that.

There should be more, uh, leases because, err, that's a RW talking point. And they need more ridiculous and untrue claims to yammer on about.

Only 35% of leases are in production. This is a terrible argument by the RW.

And the claim that Biden is to blame for OPEC lowering production is rank stupidity.

Lol..yet Democrats having no problem crediting Biden when gas prices lowered by a nickel or dime two months ago. In fact, CNN made an ass out of themselves saying America just got a $100 raise.

I know better than to "give credit" to politicians who have little ability to influence things like gas prices just because they're in office.

This is in sharp contrast to the hillbilly portion of the GOP who gave credit to Bonespurs for the economy.

LOL! You mean you only come to that conclusion when you support the Bozo in office who is crashing the economy.

Because he did. Didn't your side tell us if Trump wins in 2016, the economy would crash? You are free to look up news commentators for the comments, especially Rachel Madcow.

It has always been my opinion that this nation should be striving for energy independence or being self-sufficient. Canceling pipelines, leases, prohibiting drilling isn’t the way to do it. Although that is what the Democratic base wants or wanted. We shouldn’t have to go to Saudi Arabia or OPEC with hat in hand begging. But this is what Biden and company choose to do. The more dependent we are on foreign oil, energy, the greater chance we are of getting involved in another war over there.

Don’t get me wrong, I voted for Biden. I’d do it again if he faces Trump. But he’s wrong here.

    5000 UNUSED!!!!

How many are actively drilling, and what is their daily production ?

JFC….the number of unused leases matter ZERO to production.

Why only 5000 when we would normally have 4 yo 5 times that being developed for future production? It doesn't happen over night and some of those they may not be able to get permitted to do so and the infrastructure in place for years. JFC read the numbers I gave you and stop with the 5000 lease canard.

To attempt to reduce prices to try to win an election.

    Unreal.

The NUMBER of leases has absolutely nothing to do with the amount they PRODUCE. Your arguing something your know nothing about.

OF COURSE IT HAS TO DO WITH HOW MUCH WE PUMP OUT.

YOU are the one claiming they are a factor and I showed you we are at historic lows of the number that are being explored.

Dear god man. It’s not the NUMBER of wells, its the production of the wells in use. Do you think that the oil companies just put rigs in everywhere so they can pump more and more oil every day ? Thank you for showing that you know nothing about oil, nothing about the business of oil, and nothing about the government leases

    Have a nice day

So when you can't debate on the facts go for the personal invective as usual. Again why are the number of leases at such LOWS.
