Oh, I know why. The mayors of NYC and DC along with the governor of NY have been bitching real loud about Biden not doing anything about the border and there's an election coming up. So like using our oil reserves in an attempt to try to save the election, Biden is now doing the same with the Venezuelans, but not Mexicans, Haitians or the people with the spark of divinity from El Salvador.

I guarantee that not only will this new deal not be enforced rigorously, it will be completely forgotten by November 9th.

One more thing, why is Biden taking this action when we've been repeatedly told the border is secure?

I have always said we need to work with mexico on this. With Abbott and DeSantis transporting illegals to other areas, more will come.

It was the moving of illegals to DC and NY that got democrat politicians bitching to Biden to do something. From what I understand, NY Martha's Vineyard got mostly, if not exclusively, Venezuelans and they seem to be the only ones targeted by Biden.

Your second sentence completely contradicts the first. I know, it's different when you do it.

 

If they are on US soil and claim asylum, they should not be removed from the country until their asylum claim has been heard and denied.

 

I always thought the asylum application was at the federal level, not the state. Hence the location is moot. My point was once they are in the USA, they stand a better chance, and with Abbott and DeSantis allowing them in and a ride, the stage is set for an even greater wave of immigrants.

 

Does New York City, DC and Chicago have room for more illegals, because that's where they're going to be sent.

 

No, it is not moot. The immigration courts (which are federal) in Texas reject practically all applications while the courts in New England and New York approve most. Getting on DeSantis plane is like winning the lottery for them.

Started what? Taking migrants to federal facilities to be housed? All admins have done that, even Trump. There is a massive difference between that and dumping them in front of someone's residence to fend for themselves. That's beyond childish.
