    https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022...ams-western-pledges-to-address-climate-change

Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has criticised Western nations for their low financial commitment to addressing issues caused by climate change on the continent.

“$55m for 54 countries – this is not fair,” Akufo-Addo was quoted as saying by French state broadcaster RFI on Monday.

Akufo-Addo who is on a six-day visit to France where he is expected to meet President Emmanuel Macron, was referring to commitments made during a climate summit in Rotterdam last September – $23m from the United Kingdom, $15m from Norway, $10m from France and $7m from Denmark.

“The adaptation summit had the mission of mobilising $25bn by 2025 … ridiculously, while the G20 countries are responsible for 80 percent of emissions, Africa left Rotterdam with pledges of up to $55m,” the Ghanaian leader said.,,,

The impacts are massive. Africa loses today $7-15bn a year in terms of climate change, and if that doesn’t change it’s going to be about $50bn by 2040,” Akinwumi Adesina, president of the African Development Bank, told Al Jazeera during the Rotterdam summit.

Here we have global warming used to facilitate a shakedown. As if successful countries must pay for being successful. And yet while Ghana attempts to exploit G7 guilt for being successful and demands money, Nigeria complains they are being punished by G7 ending financing for fossil fuel project claiming the entire continent is being punished. A classic case of damned if you do, damned if you don't.

This whole climate change thing is a scam. So many scams in play.

Regarding climate change, I find the case of Juliana v. United States - Wikipedia most interesting, especially because of 60 Minutes coverage years back.

My understanding is that there are many government documents showing the federal government has been aware of climate change (it is natural that climate changes over time) for decades at least.

I do not think man or their governments can stop the climate from changing, but it is an interesting case.

Apparently this guy has learned the art of the hustle from Sharpton and is now playing the victim card. If he wants endless free money then he should invite Russia to invade his country and then Blank Check Biden will empty our coffers and fill his.

So, the scam is exposed. Climate moderation was never actually going to be used for that, but for economic programming and maturation of these developing nations. In turn, their energy needs are going to drastically increase the overall output of what the AGW crowd refer to as poisons, and no actual moderation of them will be achieved. This has always been the logic trap of the AGW crew. It cannot be understated then how disingenuous it has been. Active lying to the public to create a wealth transfer process to the developing world in the name of global warming. Truly laughable.

I always thought the basis of the global warming scam involved the following.

    1. Allow Governments. State, National, and Global (G7, etc.) to set fiat Carbon caps.

    2. Set up exchanges for the buying and selling of Carbon Credits thus creating something of value (Carbon Credit) that has no intrensic value.

    3. Force companies, countries, etc. to buy Carbon Credits thus transfering wealth from the buyer (the entity that government wants to take money from) to the seller (the entity that government wants to give money to).

All done under the guise of saving the planet.

What I did not envision was the outright shakedown whereby successful countries give away money for imaginary climate change damage to unsuccessful countries. And is always the case, the welfare recipiant in ungrateful and demands a larger handout.

Funny you should say that. When I think of the word "shakedown" Al Sharpton comes to mind.

One only ever had to read the IPCC documents. It's always been there for those willing to read it.

I don't know much about carbon credits or how they work, but from what I understand you can pollute as much as you want as long as your wallet is big enough. That makes a lot of sense, not to me, but it makes sense to someone.

Instead of carbon credits, the government should lower the taxes on companies that do things to lower pollution and get rid of this credit crap. If a company invests X amount of dollars in lowering pollution, then that pollution is reduced for as long as the company exists. Therefore, that company should not have to pay for any green new deal malarkey because it already did. For each year the company exists they should get a break on their taxes equivalent to how much of their taxes would have been spent on global warming. But the government doesn't work that way, they want and always will want your money. They may give you a tax write off, but that's only for one year, however the company is preventing pollution every year.

Our current government thinks they can stop the world from changing by reducing the use of fossil fuels. The reason why fossil fuels exist is because the world literally changed by itself over the years. There used to be trees under the middle east and in El Paso, Texas, there are fossils of shellfish - El Paso is 800 miles from any appreciable water.

As Al Gore would say here is "an inconvenient truth is that fossil fuels exist because of the Carbon Cycle.

    1. Carbon levels in the Atmosphere have been higher in the past and yet life thrived.

    2. Aside from space debris Carbon is not being created. It goes from the air to the ground and back to the air as part of the Carbon cycle.

    3. Current CO2 levels are not optimum for plant growth which is why CO2 generators are sold for grow rooms.

    4. None of these climate change preachers can say what the optimum CO2 levels are for plant growth - nor can they say what the impact is on plant growth of their absurd Carbon Capture schemes. Of course there is no need for high tech Carbon Capture (a scam). Rather just plant trees.

    5. And last but not least, I have noticed that the rich and elite who gnash their teeth over climate change have done nothing to mitigate their personal Carbon footprint. My favorite example is Obama and his wife taking two jets to go to the West Coast on the same day. Here is a so called environmentalist who required an environmental waiver for his beachfront house in Hawaii. lol

Do they even teach this anymore? Earth Science used to be taught in ninth grade.

Ah. It's definitely more than $6B and guaranteed less than $16B. Every single year. Going back, what --centuries? In the 1800's Africa lost $1.5T?

Forgive me for concluding that the numbers we not calculated by anyone who understood money.

Climate Change: 400 Private Jets Go Wheels-Up To COP27.

If 'elites' don't save us from abundant energy, we'll all burn up!

'elites from around the world met in Egypt at COP27 to discuss alternatives to the self-centered, gluttonous practices of the peasants. Namely, fuel-powered vehicles and airplanes. In a meeting that could have easily been done via ZOOM call to save carbon emissions, our climate change betters ate up jet fuel in the comfort of their 400 private jets.'

Cult leaders tend to do very well, personally.
