Have you noticed that a large number of government programs that the progressives push all lead toward bigger government and more regulations? It's no accident.

Whether or not there is anything real to man made climate change (and we're not going to solve that debate in this thread) it's fairly obvious that Western nation's policies all assume it's true and seem to be doing either the wrong things or irrelevant things. In the US, if the policy makers really believed it, they would be spending money on replacing our fossil fuel electric power generation with nukes. That's the thing we can do right now that will reduce carbon emissions. We would also stop allowing development on the coasts and begin eminent domain on those properties.

Nothing like that is happening of course, and we just spent this year a 430 billion "climate change bill" that will not reduce carbon emissions at all. So governments are acting like it's simply a scam to move money around.

Why does anyone think that China has so much to do with Global Warming, especially when it comes to owning the most companies in the energy sector, and the biggest ones?
