The Republicans embraced lieing and conspiracy theory mongering when the discovered that is was easier to just keep lieing than actually debate facts. After all, the facts were against them but they discovered a candidate whose business it was to lie and who was a complete expert.

    The rest is history.

How Donald Trump Sold His First NFT

Doesn't it just boggle the mind to think that Americans have caused each other physical harm over this deluded old narcissist?

If guns cause these deaths, the answer is easy. Just raise your guns right. Teach them right and wrong and how to love. I've had my guns for years and none of them have hurt anybody.

Boggles the mind when his supporters see that those that rioted for him on J6 and ruined part of if not all of their lives that he doesn't give 2 shits about them and they still support him.

Trump's now in the process of trying to round up a new crew of stooges to do his dirty work for him again as he sits on his big fat ass posting about how he's the persecuted innocent victim and everyone else is corrupt and evil.

After all that's been said and done, they all deserve each other.

Proving once again there are lies they're a damn lies and then there are statistics.

I wonder if this alarmism works on anybody.

You should read the data to the article you linked. It’s junk statistics. It had to include 17-19 year olds to make that claim. 17-19 year olds are not children and make up almost all of the citied deaths per 100k.

Awesome. So you are ready to attack the inner city culture that creates gangs and rampant crime? You are ready to go after 24-7 media that can't self regulate their over-hyping of mass murder? You are ready to stomp on illegal border crossing in order to squash drug trade?

    I didn't think so.

    No surprise there.

-The US has 4% of the world's population
-US citizens own 46% of the world's privately owned guns
-The US has 35% of the world's gun suicides,
-The US gun homicide rate per capita is more than 10-fold higher than in many other developed countries
    [IMG]

I am sure, however, the gun lovers will claim correlation does not mean causation in this case, and that it's just left wing lies with statistics. However, while they stick their head in the sand and vote GOP for looser gun laws, the US gun carnage continues. More guns will fix it, right?

Equating abortion to gun violence is stupid.

    Hi, Golem.

    Guns.

    Again.

According to the data for the year 2020*, there were 45,222 deaths from gunshot in the United States of America in that year. Averaging that over a year, there was a death from gunshot every 12-13 minutes around the clock. A death by gunshot every 12-13 minutes on average.

Our existing laws and their level of enforcement failed to stop these from happening.

    Guns.

    Again.

It is worth noting that those Americans who rank high on the RWA scale** have a tendency to compartmentalize information without examining data which conflict. New information which refutes one of their beliefs is just compartmentalized without reflection.

Regards. Stay safe, well and un-shot.

Well if we were to arm everyone like most gun proponents suggest, I disagree that would solve the problem either.

With ghost guns increasing in usage, no one has any solution, and politics are most certainly not going to fix it.

Personally I think we need to start with enforcing current policies on books. I also wouldn't be against raising the gun age to 21 for rifles as well. Obviously mandatory background checks for anyone making a purchase.

I see a few. Begin with complete background checks for all gun sales. This has widespread popular support and is Constitutional

Follow this with voluntary gun buyback programs. Privately and taxpayer financed.

Again, slow generational change, but a good beginning

No, it's not a gun culture, it's a criminal culture.

He made 4 1/2 million on those NFTs and apparently there is a money laundering angle. Too predictable.

    The statistics do include 17-19
    https://www.npr.org/2022/04/22/1094364930/firearms-leading-cause-of-death-in-children

But I'm not sure what you're trying to say. The question is for those who oppose abortion stating that it "kills a human child". Are they AS worried about "human children" who are killed by guns, or they don't matter?

Me? Attack gangs and rampant crime? Oh no! Who doesn't LOVE gangs and rampant crime!

Look, fella... I don't know you. Forum rules don't allow me to evaluate your intelligence, so I must assume it's normal. So what I'm about to say is not about you. It's about your question. That's the most idiotic question I have seen in a long time.

Let's see, people are becoming increasingly violent and lawless. How do we solve that problem? Are you suggesting that people are increasingly violent because they have weapons? Are you also suggesting that if you take away weapons the increase in violence and lawlessness will reverse?

Have you been to prison lately? No weapons allowed. Pretty violent. Maybe it's because the guards have weapons? What would happen in prison when you take the weapons away from the guards? Less violence and lawlessness?
