yep, make good money there, enough to afford the "PODs", then move to a state that is cheaper to retire, not as good of income potential, but great place to settle down in later life

Mostly conservatives moving to Texas from CA... like me. Liberals get all skeert and wet their pants at the sound of a gun.

At this rate a house in a nice neighborhood with a good school district will fall to under 750k!

They are tracking one way rentals that go from one state to another. This doesn’t include local rentals to like move something from home to a storage unit locally. Totally different stats. We get plenty of vehicles for local use here because of all the one ways that end up here.

On the plus side they'll probably give you a really good deal if you start from another state and take one of their trucks back to California!

Do you think that has anything to do with the weather, the coastline, its size and how many illegals are there? Or do you think people flock to CA for the high taxes, numerous restrictions, gang warfare, high crime, bad business environment, crappy roads, wild fires, water shortages, power outages and low school standards?

A better question would be, are they growing or shrinking?

And how much of that population is homeless, on welfare or just there illegally?

The homelessness, crime, drug, and illegal situation is beyond out of control. People want out. The state is the antithesis of a traditional wholesome American family environment.

Other reasons include the highest state income taxes in the nation, homeless blocking the sidewalks everywhere, flash mobs looting stores, morning murderers being home for dinner, crime, etc.

And yet in Northern California those are the cities that are growing. Modesto is the urban area between Stockton and Fresno. The communities around Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Loomis are growing as well and form the bulk of one of the richest counties in the state. Redding is distant from other cities and is itself the economic hub and cultural district of a vast rural region of the state. The #4 economic small city in the USA.

A most beautiful area and a very nice historic and tourist town. Proximity to Mt. Shasta and its sledding, snowmobiling, skiing, as well as Lake Siskiyou in the summer. The Mc Cloud falls trio is neat . Mt. Shasta City, Dunsmuir, and Castle Crags are nearby and Burney Falls is within 40 miles of Mc Cloud.

The lefties leaving the state are mainly going to Washington,Nevada, Colorado. Some go Chicago and NYC. It’s the conservatives mainly leaving and we go to Texas, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina from here. Some go to Idaho. People fleeing NY turned Florida from purple to red.

Even those places are being swallowed up. The Central coast is even being invaded and overrun. Name one place that isn't a retirement community that is adequate for families and children.

If only these people leaving were smart enough to know why they are leaving, I don’t think that’s the case though.

I would like to get a Manifest from U-Haul to see the Final Destinations of these "One-Way Rentals"...

Too much of it. All three are caused by far progressive left policies here. Particularly worse in their coastal heavily urbanized areas. Inland Ca has some of those problems too but none of them to the same extent and locals are more aggressive in dealing with it inland.

What opportunities? The high cost of housing precludes a professional working and middle class in those coastal cities looking for upward mobility.
