What really scare me is that republicans dissent to American institution like media, CIA, FBI , DOJ, Military or even Democracy itself is the mainstream republican ideology. In 60s movement, liberals were dissent of these same institution but back then it was just a tiny portion of liberal or progressive. But today this dissent is not only among hardcore MAGA supporter, but among majority GOPs including establishment. MTG is no longer a loner congresswoman from Nowhere, she is member of intelligent committee. Fifteen years ago we used to think Ted Cruz was one of a kind, today most of the senators are like Ted Cruz and those who can’t be like Ted Cruz, they leave Senate to be President of a University.

 

Trump is a bigger liar, I don't remember anyone from the Republicans calling him out. Either at the SOTU address or here on the forum.

Even if President Biden said “majority GOp want to end Social Security” it would be accurate. Media doesn’t talk about it but GWB wanted to privatize Social Security. That was one of his main campaign issue, McCain wanted to take Money out of Paycheck like SS does but put it in personal saving and invest in stock market.

Republicans have been against SS since 1935.

I think there is a difference between what a Politician says in a speech and what they actually do while in office. Biden's 40 plus years in politics is a perfect example of this.
