President Joe Biden will make a long-awaited trip to America’s northern neighbor Thursday evening, a 24-hour whirlwind visit where he will press to elevate a concerted effort to repair a bilateral relationship as the two nations confront growing geopolitical challenges.

Despite the brief nature of the trip, White House officials say the crowded agenda underscores the relationship’s importance – and the substantial shift away from the fractures that developed during former President Donald Trump’s time in office. Still, they acknowledge there are a series of economic, trade and immigration challenges that must be navigated between the two governments.

The greatness of an administration is recognized by the way it treats its most important economic partners.

Trump's contempt for Canadians will be remembered.

Canada and the US have disagreements, but they can be resolved respectfully.

We definitely need a pivot towards the Western Hemisphere. If we had great relationships and promoted economic growth on our half of the world, we would be in much better shape on pretty much every front.

"Biden's approval rating currently sits at just 38%"

    So much greatness.

Yesterday someone complained about starting too many negative posts about Trump, asked why not start some positive ones about Biden.
They did, and this is the response.......................
I wouldn't blame the general visitor to this board if they ignored certain posts.
The argument could be made that could apply to me also.

The fact the thread starter equates greatness with having to be popular speaks to his confusion and need to piss on Biden nothing else. History has shown some of the "greatest" of people were hated and despised.

Add to that that 78% of those polled believe the country is going in the wrong direction. Who's the "leader" of the country? Biden.

Is it exciting or emotionally charged? No.
But I like this, good old fashioned boring politicians doing the mundane job of running things smoothly.
I like it when politicians are boring.....................
Kind of refreshing after the previous bull-in-the-china-shop administration.
    Yay! Go Canada! lol

Public opinion is just a measure of public opinion, and the public's opinion 20 months before an election could not be more meaningless. George HW Bush had an approval rating of around 90 percent 2 years before the 1992 election.

The public is fickle and stupid.

Trump was no higher at the same point in his presidency.

Did you vote for him anyway?

Does this explain why Biden was elected?

    They are fair.

But idiots always pick the winner. If we ever get it right, it's entirely by accident.

Not sure what you were trying to get at.

Everything I posted here was with the idea that most of the public are idiots. If you think I was only targeting one side, that was something entirely in your own mind.

Look, you made your point and I addressed it. What's there to prove? Or, more importantly, what would be the point?

The point of discussion boards, for me, is to have some fun. I'm an old dog which rarely learns any new tricks. ;)
