Inflation happens when government increases the money supply thereby diluting the value of the currency. What you describe is price increases caused by the law of supply and demand. We have been suffering both recently.

Yup. That, too. Add in the war between Russia and Ukraine and we've got something of a perfect inflationary storm. Lot's of interesting things happening around the globe as countries and blocs of countries react.

If you're referring to the American Rescue plan of 2021, the money would not have gotten to the people back in 2019 back when credit card debt started to go down.

Like I was saying, credit card debt goes up in a boom and down in a recession, a typical disposition for sane borrowers.

 

Starve the working class and double down on debt.

And we now see banks beginning to fall.. By the time ByDummy runs again, dozens of big banks will fold and it WILL be a BIG problem!

 

It's hard to believe that this is what you want, so why are you bringing this thought into our convo about the debt ceiling?
