No, it's not our job to clean up their countries (so to speak) to make better for them. Even if we did, they would probably return to the 3rd world dumps within years anyway. Look within our own country, we've spent trillions over the last 60-70 years to fight poverty and it hasn't done anything.

 

And the cost of $25 million/month is just one place in one city. Imagine all over the country. Imagine what this hotel will look like in a year (because that's how long they get to stay)

We can't even make our own country livable. Do you even realize how many Americans in this country are living on the streets, living in poverty and squalor? Do you realize that our country is broke? Do you realize that the government is so polarized and divisive that they can't even come together, and work on the debt ceiling.
Of course, the federal government can protect our borders and keep our country's national sovereignty intact, but we have to have real leadership at the federal level, and therein lies the rub. We don't have it.
