Mar-a-Lago pool flood raises suspicions among prosecutors in Trump classified documents case.

An employee at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence drained the resort’s swimming pool last October and ended up flooding a room where computer servers containing surveillance video logs were kept, sources familiar with the matter.
While it’s unclear if the room was intentionally flooded or if it happened by mistake, the incident occurred amid a series of events that federal prosecutors found suspicious.

Someone sure knows how to hide/destroy evidence.

 

While possible that it was intentional, although I'm not sure what evidence it would have been meant to destroy, never underestimate good old fashioned dumbassery. From the person who drained the pool, possibly improperly, to the person who thought it was a good idea to keep important records in a room that can apparently be flooded when you drain the pool, human error is more probable than the conspiracy angle. It's Trump, so you never know for sure, but would need better evidence here than just coincidence.

 

I hope it didn't damage Hillary's server!

They should be able to recreate the incident, if not, then it gets more suspicious against Trump.

 

Trump might simultaenously be the 'dumbest' person ever and a criminal mastermind who forces a flood of a pool to damage computer servers! According to prosecutors.

Come on, you can make your legal case without looking asinine.

If this story is legit, the info on the servers can be saved…maybe not if it was a salt water pool. If the drives were solid state then it’s anyone’s guess.

Anyway, there’s a proven method of getting rid of damaging info on hard drives, just ask Lois Lerner and five of her cohorts.

Not just that, but the whole thing is that he believes(wrongly, but whatever) that he can keep the documents. Why would he destroy them? He had no problem moving them around, now he's gonna destroy them? Makes no sense.

 

To avoid getting caught lying about what he still has. Nobody gets in trouble just for mishandling, it’s lying and obstructing that normally gets them.

Move the pipe you're using to drain the pool with a pump so it spews in a way where the water flows to what you want flooded.

Have you ever lived in Florida? It rains like hell. Tropical downpours plus hurricanes and near - hurricanes. Drainage can only handle so much at one time.
