In America, it must be a woman's unilateral decision and no one else's. I'm very conservative on economic and law-and-order issues, but characteristically "liberal" on the matter of abortion. Anything that grows or lives inside a woman's body is her concern only.

The only partial exception should be that when a fully-matured fetus or "baby" is in the process of being born, it should be illegal to kill it as it comes out of the female's body. This is typically done by deliberately crushing the fetus' head as it is emerging from the vagina during the process of being born.
