quite a number. Russia is on the losing side of this war and they know it. I’m glad we are the ones sending Ukraine aid. I think we have a moron president that spits out ammunition shortages like a complete fool but I’m glad we’re aiding this country against russias illegal land grab.

Their families do. Beyond that demographers do to. Russia is not a populous nation, it's birth rate prior to the commencement of this war already below replacement rate and it's nose dived further since!

For that matter the US and the rest of the Western world is caught in the same trap. The only thing keeping the US's population rising is immigration with the difference between the US and Russia being that people (especially from developing regions) actually want to emigrate to the US!

That doesn't change the fact that Mediazona attatched its name to both reports which both claim to answer the same question .... the number of Russian combat deaths. But let's trust Mediazona. Yeah, that's the ticket!

 

OK, so you actually understand, but it doesn't tell you what you want to hear. Got it.

Mediazona have been open & honest about how the numbers were arrived at and there is no contradiction between them if read in context. There should also be no surpise that open source information in a dictatorship that has lied at virtually every opportunity about this invasion doesn't yield a complete figure.

This is precisely what it is presented as - a credible estimate based on research of available information. Feel free to present your own, more credible sources for Russian deaths if you have them.
