Most crimes like this the people "hate" each other regardless of race why does it make a difference if they are of different race? If we are both white and I hate you and kill you is it any less a crime than if we are of different race?

Kind of hard to ignore race when you teach **** like CRT in schools which hyper focuses in on racial identity and historical wrongs of which we've long since moved passed as socially.

Black history month? Don't need it. It's just history. It's not segregated or special, it's American history. The label "african americans"? You are just Americans.

You see a pattern here? We should not be segregating history or labels based on race. If you want an united America, then we need to stop putting special labels on groups and just call them Americans. Just call it history. Stop with this obsession over historic wrongs and work towards a united future.

If you want to obsess over slavery, then expect angry and hate and segregation to continue.

CRT is not taught in public schools, any more than Christianity is.... though, some teacher may try to sneak both in.... fire them when they do

I am not interested in you declaring what your idea of CRT is or trying to narrow it down to specifically the college course. CRT is the theory that all outcomes are a based on race. For example; when a public school such as Fairfax County Public Schools teaches privilege through a bingo game where the blocks are labeled with racial identity as a negative, such as this one...



This is absolutely downstream of CRT. We call this CRT. It's grouped with CRT. And I could give two shits if you disagree with that assessment. This is teaching outcomes tied to race.

This is an example of the bullshit that progressives thought would be a great idea to push in schools and of which we are seeing negative outcomes as a result.

Obviously this was and is a bad idea, and like most of progressive's bad ideas...we have to watch this play out and become a social disaster before progressives figure this out.

This **** sets us back. It doesn't build bridges, understanding or move us forward.

 

I've seen too many outraged parents at school board meetings to believe that you have an accurate assessment as to what's been going on in public schools.

These teachers are not being fired, are continuing to push this **** and as a result you are seeing negative social outcomes.

This has been going on and complained about for half a decade on these boards. This is not a new thing.

 

People overreact and complain all the time as well. I do think -as an example about the whining that goes on- it's even safe to say that the only group that uses "woke" are right wingers who insist they should get a free pass when discriminating. It's not as if you see some tree hugging hippy is telling some random person to be more woke all the time.

 

When the parents can post examples and children testify at such meetings of times where they've felt uncomfortable or discriminated against..."overreacting" is not the category I would put that **** in.

Let me run this past you folks and tell me what you think. If you watch the video you will hear a news report about two teens in Vegas stealing a car, hitting another car with it and then intentionally running over a guy on his bike. When I say intentionally, I mean intentionally. If you look at the Twitter link below, you can see these two thieves actually recorded their hit and run on another car and the murder. And of all things, they posted this video to social media which is how they got caught.

if your crime is against a group, the damage to society is greater, so there is a difference

that said, hate crimes are not for murder, they are for smaller crimes that have a greater impact, such as putting a burning cross in front of a black mans house to scare all black people away, etc....
