These aren't even our problems to solve. They are Europe's problems that we have taken on, free of charge. Let's take the liberals favorite pet peeve, climate change. The US ranks in the middle of the pack. By all accounts, we use our energy responsibly. But countries such as China, etc do not use their energy responsibly. So the justification given for the Paris Climate Accord is that the only way those polluter nations would sign on, is IF we did. Why do we have to carry 2/3rds of the world's burden? If they are messing up, they should be the ones to clean up.

Our relation with the international community is and always has been: International Community: Jump, US: How far?

That is what a world leader is about. It is why China and Russia are tying to be world leaders trying to solve problems outside of their own borders. Japan is on its way, but it will take another decade.

But we also have strategic interests in Europe, SE Asia, and even Central and South America. Should we ignore our strategic interests because some conservatives are too scared?

While democrat cities are bitching at Abbott for sending them illegals, Biden himself is sending them illegals and he’s sending a lot more than Abbott did.

Read the below article and tell me that flooding this country with unskilled and uneducated third world illegals isn’t Biden’s plan.

Biden’s DHS let 200,000 illegal immigrants fly directly into 43 cities

Well they need a pool boy or two. Someone to clean the house. Mow the lawn. Mix and serve drinks at their parties and whatnot. A driver. A chef. Perhaps a modern day valet. A life in nanny for those with children. And of course for the rich liberals, bodyguards and other security services who bypass gun laws and regulations across the US via a law called LEOSA. How come non of the resident anti-second ammendment liberals here on PF ever sound off about LEOSA? lol

We don't have 'strategic interests' in these areas. We have unstable governments, who have fought themselves for over hundreds of years. I referenced the Napoleon continental system. I could've gone as far back as the Vikings[1400's] their history of bloody warfare is well known in history.

Until the US came into existence, they had to settle it amongst themselves. Which is why the European map has been drawn, redrawn and then drawn again. This isn't new, or unprecendented, hell like I said it's the third time in as many times in the last century! They have an inherent predisposition to violent conflict amongst themselves.

The only thing new, is that by being the European security blanket, we kind of, somehow managed to defuse it a bit. But as we saw via Putin, that's all we managed to do, defuse it a tiny bit. But that defusing came at the cost of being directly involved, or to use your words 'have strategic interests' in these areas, and as another consequence we could not put the same effort into our domestic building that we needed to in our defense.

There has been no domestic equivalent of the Space Wars program[Reagan] not even when Democrats had the supermajority back in 2010.

Now, where I will say we have a direct influence, because history dictates it is Central and South America[Manifest Destiny]. That is our backyard and we have ignored it, largely because we lack the political will and capital to assert meaningful influence. The same can be said around the world. We're not willing to say 'we own this government/direct the laws of the populace here', we're just willing to do everything short of that which has made us fail our objectives.

We do have interest in Asia[The Pacific Frontier] but even this is less us, and more empowering Japan and like you said that effort must accelerate and it must continue. We must displace the Chinese with Japanese leadership over the Asiatic territories, as to assert full control over the Pacific.

Only with a US-Japanese full alliance with both maintaining power and influence over the Pacific, can the Pacific be peaceful for all major and minor Asia powers. But even here ideally, it is Japan who is able to thrive and dominate the most in that region. I would prefer to just be able to passively oversee the area.

So Central/South America and Asia have historic relevance for the US to continue to prosper in the 21st century and beyond. Europe has no such ties, other than our genetic ties, and even this will dissipate decades into the future.

How’s this any different than our policy toward Cuban migrants? Is Venezuela less commie than Cuba?

2,000 illegals a day, that’s more than what NYC is taking in.

This Mexican democrat mayor has sent more illegals to NYC than Abbott, but who gets the blame? This guy should send the illegals to the cities where the media’s corp headquarters are along with Biden’s home where he spends most of his time on vacation. And yes, another few dozen plane loads to Martha’s Vineyard.

El Paso, Texas ‘at a breaking point’ as migrant numbers skyrocket: mayor

“The city of El Paso only has so many resources, and we have come to … a breaking point right now,” said Democratic Mayor Oscar Leeser at a briefing — where he noted more than 2,000 migrants are being taken into custody there every day.

He said the recent flood forced the town to charter five buses to take some of the asylum seekers to places such as New York, Chicago and Denver — Democratic strongholds and so-called “Sanctuary cities” that cater more to migrants.

LOL.. not enough? How about not many willing. Makes a big difference in your assessment. Why do you suppose that this new generation of kids isn't willing to actually go to work? Perhaps it's the too many hand outs available to them, the life for free mantra of democrats. And while you're demanding your slaves, it's kind of ironic isn't it that you're the one calling for them. I see little daylight between your demand for agriculture workers who are illegal aliens from plantation owners of our distant past. And yet, here you still are.

Because we are competing with them illegally and unfairly. Obstinate bigotry doesn't help anything either.

Just what is this “unfair competition?” Before the communist take over, Venezuela had a significant and growing middle class. Now it can’t feed its people. Nicholas Madero is a grifter who is mostly making himself rich.

But, I know. I am talking to a true believer. After over a century of communist failures, you still think one of these dictators will get it right.

Here comes another population boon in Miami … is Doral big enough for all these Venezuelans? They might have to start building houses on Mt Trashmore …

I have to wonder how long it is going to take before the BIG picture finally becomes clear, Marxists hate America. Today the Democrat party and some in the Republican party are the tools to divide and conquer the masses and destroy Capitalism and any system that supports it. They hate the Constitution that protects it. If it's not state owned and state run, then all means are necessary to change it. Of course, it is with an understanding that it is good for society and what the people want. Descent should be attacked and any lie or means needed to bury the truth is O.K.

Now all sensible people know that open borders is not really a good thing for America. Yet here we are with thousands crossing into Texas every day. Even Sanctuary cities and towns are screaming for help as they are bursting at the seams with illegals. Biden and Co. everyday tell us that the borders are closed and protected. They perpetuate the lie over and over and many in this country believe it. They cannot give up on their plan to saturate the big blue cities and some red states with these illegals because the name of the game is power. So, Joe says, " give them green cards and let them find jobs." Now that sounds like a compassionate thing to do, but, lets look at the truth.

What better way to destroy America than open borders where criminal types can enter and expand their trade of selling drugs and other illicit activities. On one hand support Unions but on the other hand flood the market with cheap slave labor. The Democrats are running out of groups to divide America so now they have the illegals beholden to them for support. If anyone complains then brand them as racist. It is a shame that American History has been re-written with falsehoods and slanted perceptions. It used to be "Wake up America" now it's "Woke up America." We only have ourselves to blame.

Since you agree communism is awful, why wouldn’t you support this move? Do you wanna start deporting Cubans also?

Yes. And also open up Cuba for trade and travel. No reason that China is OK but Cuba is not.
Cubans need to go through the legal paths just like everyone else.
