I would have said that after his crimson doom speech a few months back.

I can't see this as anything less than elder abuse

Seventy years in the making. So, you see it as days of plenty? I'd be concerned if I were you ;)

    That's exactly what Republicans preach.

Rather than selling good ideas on how to improve, they sell the idea that America is CRAP and is a miserable failure.

We have plenty of ideas: End the war on energy, lower taxes, stop spending, secure the border, and focus on a quality education rather than CRT and gender studies.

If most Americans had their way, neither Biden nor Trump would be running for the presidency in 2024. 60% of all Americans don’t want Biden to run again, 56% don’t want Trump to run again either. Questions 14 and 15.

    https://d3nkl3psvxxpe9.cloudfront.net/documents/econTabReport_wyX9VrC.pdf

As far as being better off. Most Americans don’t think so. Biden has a terrible 36.7% approval on his handling of the economy, 60.4% disapproval.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_biden_job_approval_economy-7321.html

Biden’s handling of the economy is probably the main reason he’s basically tied with Trump when considering the MOE of plus or minus 3 points.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2024/president/us/general-election-trump-vs-biden-7383.html

There’s no enthusiasm out there for this rematch that seems inevitable. This may be the first who cares who wins election outside of the avid Trump and Biden supporters. One word describes this upcoming election. Dread.

300,000 new jobs... mostly second jobs for the struggling poor. 19 of those jobs were high paying, salaried jobs

    "Stop spending" is just silly.

"End the war on energy" is meaningless, too. Our oil is always going to be priced at the world price, and any change in our volume isn't going to change that. The whole idea here is to sacrifice our environment for the benefit of gigantic oil corporations. Calling that an "idea" is pathetic.

Ignoring racism and gender is not an improvement.

Good ideas were thrown in the wastebasket by Grandpa Joe. The pipeline, remain in Mexico, and energy self sufficiency. All this gender confusion started under this administration as well. America is not crap....this Administration is along with the Senate and it's RINOS!

"Energy self sufficiency" refers to more than just oil. But just in terms of oil, oil price is set by the world oil market, and thus having the US pump more won't make a difference for anyone other than ultra wealthy oil companies. We don't need to pay for more wealthy oil companies.

Today, the cheapest energy is wind and solar. Hydro is cheap, too, but there isn't a ready supply of rivers to dam. Nuclear is pretty clean, but stupendously expensive.

Issues surrounding gender have always existed. They were just kept closeted. Today, the right wing desire to pour hate on those not strictly hetero is no more justifiable than racism or religious persecution.

Having the parties work together is what our founders intended. Further, it is exactly what we need. Having purely partisan bills is FAILURE. Our whole society succeeds by people of all description that have anything to add to a particular endeavor to work together on that endeavor. Today we have House Republicans who STRIVE to defeat attempts to work together. Republicans are NOT showing that have any ability to lead. They didn't with Trump. And, they aren't with the House.

Wind is not constant. Any idea how much petroleum it takes to produce those carbon propellers? They don't last forever. It takes petroleum jelly to keep them lubed and when they aren't, they burn up. Wonder if we can fight a war on the energy you propose? Run a tank on solar and wind? Fighter jets?.

Smaller nuclear plants would be a very good supplement to petroleum.

Keep them closeted. We don't need to teach our children options when they are temporarily unhappy. There are two genders.Science shows you have one.Deal with it.

We' will settle this very soon.

Oh please, you act as though elected Democrats or any better. For the entire term of Trump's presidency all they did was obstruct in every way shape and form they possibly could. Including two sham impeachments.

So don't act like they're supposed to stick out the olive branch and roll over

An M1 tank uses about five gallons of fuel per mile... yes... five gallons per mile.

    Good post.

But we can run it on hopes and dreams and unicorn farts.

All of these green weenies don't even seem to understand that solar has a dark side.

During Obama's terms, the major issues (healthcare and immigration) were approached by bipartisan committee with equal representation.

Under Republican/Trump Senates, we've seen back room, Republican only bills be produced.

There is no doubt that Democrats would find issues with bills created by Republicans only - as would Republicans have issues with bills written by only Democrats.

Are you telling me you have not looked into the solar industry?

You think you can run a tank on solar?

What sort of materials do you think it takes to produce solar panels? Where do we get those and how? Can the material be recycled or is it too toxic?
