    So you take their side, because they don't hassle you unlike they would flat out discriminate you when they find out you're a Palestinian.
    Well well. Those are some morals you got. lol

    In my experience, only the most extreme cults (though I consider all manmade religions to be a cult, though some are worse than others) like the JWs believe in the concept of a 'rapture', so... You're mostly wrong. Only a tiny minority believe in that bullshit.

    Challenge accepted. Stupid question. Why would anyone in the region allow Jews or Americans to thrive? That's like asking sheep herders to tolerate wolves. I mean, seriously! :???:

    But it does show that the Palestinians have good taste; not a single ugly girl in the line-up. :love:

    This is actually a very interesting topic because we don’t know what the people in “the surrounding region” think so we can only judge the situation from our own personal perspective.

    1). Christians & Jews. As long as there is no risk of them overpopulating my country to the point of dominance I can tolerate them. Here, in Sweden, that risk is very real. The Moslem immigrants are so large in numbers that it’s already been calculated (within a few years) when the Moslems will outnumber the indigenous population.

    2). Americans. Well, they should be allowed only a very short tourist visa during which time they should be gagged and their eyes and ears forced open at all times.

    3). Gay people. As long as they keep a low profile it’s OK. If same-sex marriage affords them the same rights to inheritance and marital advantages within the community then I see no problem with it/them if civil and/or church weddings are acceptable. I would definitely not allow them the right to adopt children, however. Most certainly not! And no gay parades.

    4). Criticism of religion. Absolutely OK if conducted in a Democratic manner.

    5) Criticism of government. This ought to be tolerated as a matter of course. HOWEVER. This shyt of judicial harassment created by political bias – as the Democratic party is doing in the United Snakes with indictments every time you turn around – should not, ought not, must not be tolerated! I stand for DEMOCRACY and that crap is Despotic and Fascist!

    *** So, how does that apply to “the surrounding region” and are there any relevant points to be made between the two? Do they affect our opinion of how things are run in “the surrounding region”? Does it help us to be more sympathetic ….. or more critical of their way of governing? And have I sufficiently answered the initial question put to me at the beginning of this response?

    Lebanon fired on them, Israel fired back. Simple as that. The reporter was collateral damage. Long story short, don't stand where the bombs are falling....

    No, that is not the report that I read (I notice you supply no link, of your own). Israel detected an explosion, they think, near their border fence with Lebanon. So they fired a missile at the first sign of life they saw, in the vicinity, which was a news crew. That is not the news crew's own fault-- it is reckless disregard for collateral, innocent deaths. How does that make Israel better than the terrorists?

    Here are some other views, saying that the site is an area where there had recently been border clashes, or even that there may have been a clash going on, somewhere nearby.

    There is a
    video taken at the site & time of the actual incident, at this Reuters site:

    <Snip>
    Oct 13 (Reuters) - A Reuters video journalist was killed and six other journalists injured in southern Lebanon on Friday when missiles fired from the direction of Israel struck them, according to a Reuters videographer who was at the scene.

    The group of journalists, including from Al Jazeera and Agence France-Presse, were working near Alma al-Shaab, close to the Israel border, where the Israeli military and Lebanese militia Hezbollah have been trading fire in border clashes.
    <End Snip>

    While there had apparently been numerous previous clashes in the area,
    it is clear from the video, that no artillery is being fired, in the reporter's immediate vicinity.

    Amid fears of the opening of a second front in the Hamas-Israel war if Iran-funded Lebanese militia group Hezbollah joins the conflict, a Reuters video journalist was killed and six other journalists, including from Al Jazeera and Agence France-Presse (AFP), injured in southern Lebanon on Friday.
    All the journalists were in body armour labelled “press."

    Al Jazeera Media Network said in a statement that Israeli forces had “once again attempted to silence the media by targeting journalists”, this time with a missile fired at a clearly marked Al Jazeera team and other reporters in southern Lebanon.

    “Israel’s targeting of the Al Jazeera team is a blatant disregard of international safety standards that clearly distinguish the press, as they shelled and burned an Al Jazeera broadcast vehicle despite our crew’s presence alongside other international media in an agreed upon location,” the network said.

    Neah. Those people are professionals and really aren't going to stand next to some terrorist to take one for the team and are obviously dressed to stand out. Israel got a habit of killing the press. They don't want to be recorded when they slaughter civilians. The press freedom of Israel is ranked really really low.

    I understand your point of view but Texas is a part of Mexico. It was stolen from Mexico by the US.

    And on a serious note. Ever been at the Alamo? WTF were people thinking that it would be heroic to defend a pile of dried up mud, with absolute certainty that you would die. That people still think its heroic just blows my mind. Them lot were idiots.

    I wonder if the average Gazan can connect the dots between Israel attacking Hamas because they attacked them.
    The Arabs are acting as if they should be able to do this with no consequences. The veil has been ripped off Islam. Again.
