There's that political winning mindset the R's and D's have worked so diligently for, nearly a hundred years to create this type of voter.

Well done Washington, MSN and the masters/architects that molded the mindset on display here ;)

the point is, Tipper, not one Republican ever voted for her, so cut the crap. Moreover, Nancy,. unlike McCarthy, was able to garner a majority vote and she was able to control her conference, which affirms my point that Democrats can govern, Republicans cannot.

Newsflash, Republicans cannot find a competent speaker.

    Why? there are none.

Don't expect dems to save repubs sorry asses.

Republicans are in disarray, and are a ****ed up party.

    NOTHING you say changes that.

Blame it on dems, how pathetic.

We're not going to vote for a guy that bad mouths dems, then tries to impeach our president on no evidence without a vote, and reneges on an agreement to lift the debt ceiling for a year.

    Give me a ****ing break.

Democracy? How many republicans are going around claiming America is not a democracy?

Democracy? You guys voted for the most anti-democratic president in history, and now they got a plan to make the "Unitary Exec Theory' the policy which is fascism.

You guys pay lip service to democracy.

Never in the entire history of the house were the minority party ever expected to vote for the opposition.

Get real. You guys find your speaker. If you can't, your house is in disarray.

But, do you really believe that an autocratic take over of our Federal Government and the sublimation of OUR Constitution is going to solve your problem? IMHO, It almost certainly will make it worse.

To the contrary...I am for getting the government and the corporations out of the health care system.

All systems eventually corrupt, so there needs to be a mechanism in place to do this type of house cleaning. Fortunately, there is but it takes a while to come into effect and it's kind of ugly.

I still don't get what folks like you are so upset about. What exactly is autocratic about any of this? And what on earth is sublimating our Constitution?

    Huh?

    Who's an anti-democratic President?

Unitary Exec Theory? What on earth is that?

And how does any of it relate in any way to fascism?

None of that make any sense.

So, what you're saying is Democratic Representatives are PWed whimps who, rather than looking out for their constituents dutifully cow-tow their party's leader with a cherry "Aye, aye ma'am/sir".

Here's the issue. The administrative "branch" is not really a distinct branch; it works for the Executive Branch, e.g. the President. Constitutionally, it has no legislative or executive power, except as granted by the President. All the GOP is trying to do is to control this beast.

Counter arguments which do not rise about some variation of 'you are wrong', are not arguments.

    Dismissed.

Vacuous drivel, not a merit worthy argument.

No, there stated goal is to eliminate the many administrative departments. Trump often put lobbyists in charge of them who worked for the opposition. For example, on the EPA, Trump appointed a oil and gas lobbyist as the head of the department. he wound up being so corrupt he had to resign in disgrace. Remember Scott Pruitt?

Do the departments need to be efficient? Sure. Can they overreach, no doubt they can, but tearing them down isn't the answer, either, which is the plan according to the Heritage foundation.

Of course - that's part of the problem, duplication, uselessness, agencies that have no logical function in the current times.
So, someone that actually understands the industry they admininster? Imagine my surprise.

The objective is not to "tear them down", at least not all of them. Heritage Foundation's proposals are actually pretty good. The ones they propose to disestablish are duplicative or outdated.
