https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/h...conference-due-to-safety-concerns/ar-AA1ioR3P The key speakers of this hateful event were: Marc Lamont Hill: He was invited to speak at the UN and decided to use Hamas propaganda phrases they use to advocate for the annihilation of Israel. He’s also an advocate for antisemite Louis Farrakhan. CNN fired him as a pundit after he called for the annihilation of Israel at the UN. He claims he is misunderstood. Linda Sarsour: Strong advocate for BDS movement and says Israeli supporters are white supremacsists. She also says women cannot support Israel and be considered a feminist. Civil rights groups have criticized her antisemitism. Rashida Tlaib: Keynote speaker. Nuff said. I’ll give some updates on the bios of the individuals leading this meeting. But, the generalized update is that they’re largely Marxists with a history of antisemitism and support BDS. Due to the radical ideology of the participants the hotel determined their event was a security risk to their staff and guests and have declined to host them. This is interesting because these convention spaces use this tactic to silence conservative events. It’s extremely rare to see them cancel on liberals.
Some context on USCPR is that they are a leading BDS activist movement formed by the merger of many pro-Palestinian groups. Historical members of their steering committee and advisory board are often antisemites, racists, and even pro-terrorist. Given that, it’s no surprise people like Rashida Tlaib and Marc Lamont Hill are supportive of them.
Rashida Tlaib is now taking criticism for sharing fundraising events with terrorist group Hamas fundraisers.
How does supporting Palestine equate to supporting Hamas? There is a huge difference there. One can support the rights of the Palestinians with supporting the monstrous activities of Hamas. I don't see how it is any different than supporting Israel but not supporting the slaughter of well over 6,000 civilians in Gaza.
The only reference to Hamas was when Marc Lamont Hill used a phrase coined by Palestinian Nationalists who want to destroy Israel and popularized by Hamas, saying they needed to free the land for Palestians from the river to the sea thus eradicating Israel and its people. It's a common Hamas rallying cry and call to arms against Israelis. It's starting to get banned in European countries because it is considered a call to violence. It's also why he was fired from CNN after his speech. If Israelis said they need to free Israel from the river to the sea as a rallying cry before engaging in terrorism against Palestinians it would have a similar effect. https://www.reuters.com/world/from-river-sea-prompts-vienna-ban-pro-palestinian-protest-2023-10-11/
