Conservatives need to stop arguing with liberals, like the tiger argued with the ass, about what they know to be true.

Tigers and lions don't even live on the same continents. And I wish that was the dumbest thing about the story.

And vise versa. BOTH sides are guilty of arguing with the ass. Make no mistake about it. BOTH sides.

Perhaps if both sides tried convincing instead of arguing.....

Who's the lion in this scenario? Is this a C.S. Lewis thing?

The fallacy on display here is called "Avoiding the issue".

As I said, the issue is also lame. It's just an excuse not to think critically, intellectually isolate yourself, fail to challenge your preconceptions, and run and hide from any challenge.

I think the message is don't waste your time arguing with imbeciles.

Both tigers and donkeys have dichromatic vision. Thus, the Tiger's orange stripes are difficult for the Donkey to differentiate between the green shades of background flora.

This is why Hunters can wear safety orange without alerting prey animals.

“You’ve known and seen that the grass is green. You know it. The punishment isn’t for whether the grass is blue or green, the punishment is because it’s degrading for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste your time arguing with an ass."

The moral of the story being Dems should stop degrading themselves by arguing about who won the election with Repubs.

I think you miss the point. In your example, the donkey may be color blind in which the color green is not acceptable to them. So, their brain interprets the grass as another color, like blue for instance. Or there is some grass that is literally blue, such as blue fescue. They were all arguing for the wrong reasons on what the color of the grass is and instead, the tiger should have determined "WHY" that person thought that way and the Donkey should have explained why they have thought that way.

That might be the OP's message. I was referring to the parables message.

Im not sure how you got that message. The meaning of the story is more about picking ones battles. Don't waste time on trivial matters.

Because they embarrass themselves by revealing what they "know" to be true is actually a fallacy.

Then you didn't read the OP. Please come back after you have read post #1. I can't remember if it was one sentence or two, but it wasn't more than two.

So, why did you even join the forum? You should have realized, after 1 minute glancing at it, that 99% of forum activity is pointless bickering between the left and the right.

    BTW; Welcome.

You mean fallacies like "men can get pregnant" or some other kind?
