That's fine about the bump. I was referring to as why it was bumped, I'll put that aside. You're posts are just doom and gloom over anecdotal evidence. Just because there are layoffs in a company, does not automatically interpolate for all others. I.e., one of your posts was about layoffs from a office rental company. This I knew was an issue, because the remote work transformation during Covid, companies immediately knew office attendance was not an absolute necessity. It was clear all that office space would soon go empty, there already was a trend with telecommuting. I asked around and went online to see what companies did office to home conversions. I did not have enough money to invest, because of the construction logistics, to have to rebuild each floor, so each unit would have its own plumbing and electric service. That stuff happens every day, yet you still call it an issue, when it is actually just a transformation.
I may have to go on even more of a rant here, just because I'm a huge fan of two of Hasbro's products (their biggest money-makers -- Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: the Gathering) and I have quite a bit of business experience. And I've been tracking most of this drama for a couple of years now. The problem isn't "Democrat strategies" or even inflation. Hell, COVID was actually GOOD for the toy and gaming industry. The problem is bad executive decisions. I can go into more detail. The pathetic cash grabs that they tried for these products (mostly in the case of D&D, but a little bit for MtG as well) were what caused the customer backlash. I'm probably the only person here nerdy enough to care about the details, but I can go into more if people want. MtG put out ridiculously expensive card sets that couldn't even be used in tournament play and D&D tried tanking the BIGGEST thing they had going for them, the open gaming license, to make more money . . . and they wanted to turn D&D into a recurring subscription service that ignored the majority of their fanbase and the majority of the local businesses that had made them popular in the first place.
True. I'm a gamer, and Hasbro alienated me and my friends, leading to their problems. My wife is an athlete, and Nike alienated them in a similar way.
Pawtucket had a very vibrant population of Portuguese and Irish with very nice neighborhoods… flowers and picket fences yada yada …now it’s a shithole … all the jobs shipped out of country … I wonder how much the CEO of Hasbro is making these days …
"Power Princess" is Marvel's send-up of Wonder Woman. She's a member of the Squadron Sinister/Supreme which is in itself a satire of the Justice League. I don't wanna derail the thread so just look HERE.
