You're way up there. Down where i lived in Riverside county things initially were OK and then worsened over the years. And Riverside county is republican country, or at least it was. San Bernardino is a hell hole.

The irony will be is if you don't criticize Mexicans for being racists. The women were the worst.

Yeah, I can't criticize anyone for bailing out of San Bernardino, Perris, or the city where I bought my first home, Moreno Valley. It was a nice place at first, I heard it was once featured on 60 Minutes, but there's a thing called 'ghetto creep,' a term I first heard in CA and no where else. Ghetto creep is where no matter what area you live in, no matter how nice it is, eventually the ghetto creeps closer and closer until you now live in the ghetto. That was Moreno Valley.

Just calling balls and strikes here. The thing about El Paso, and now Las Cruces 35 miles north, is that most people have respect for each other, they're polite and refer to people as sir and ma'am. The women in El Paso, for the most part, were nice, but some of them would not give my wife the time of day because she doesn't habla.

If they didn’t already have issues with California they’d never have left in the first place. It’s not easy to leave here. Politicians at the state and local level have to screw up really bad to cause that and they have done just that.

Me too. Though I want the parts north of the Bay Area and Sacramento/Yolo
Me too! Though I want the split to be north of the Bay Area region and Sacramento/Yolo to the Oregon border. Wouldn’t mind some counties east and southeast of Sacramento. The yellow in my sig pic.

You want the parts? Why on earth would such things be ceded to you?

Editor is a snowflake. Let them bash CA, last thing we need is more people figuring out how wonderful the state is and moving here.

The state is wonderful. The leadership is the worst in the country.

California has the highest poverty rate in the United States. Where does that rank on the world terms you care about?

Which sucks, because the Demokrats here in Virginia are emulating the failed "leadership" in your state to the detriment of our fair Commonwealth.

The LA Times is planning layoffs and a good place to start would be with the guy who literally wrote that people are leaving CA because it sucks.

Adam Schiff among California Democrats ‘concerned’ about struggling Los Angeles Times' looming layoffs

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and other California Democrats want to save the struggling Los Angeles Times because "preserving democracy is contingent upon a free and robust press."

In a letter to the paper's ownership and union, the Democratic lawmakers said they were writing as members of Congress who represent constituents who rely on the "invaluable reporting" provided by the Los Angeles Times. The letter came after over 300 members of the Los Angeles Times Guild staged a one-day walkout last week following an announcement that the paper planned to lay off many of its journalists.

Big IF. Without federal judges to reign in on leftists, CA would be the next Venezuela or Honduras within 5 years.

Cali is way to serious. Race you ass off in bumper to bumper traffic to and from. Saturday comes you hide just putting yourself back together in time for Monday morning.. I love watching thousands of folk creep along on I80 trying to get to Tahoe by bedtime ;)

You're always one financial mistake from disaster.

California politicians can make their state more attractive, but they are too greedy, and it’s working. The vice president comes from California and the leading Democrat alternative to Biden is the failed governor. Like it is in Washington, get elected, get rich and powerful. To heck with the people’s best interests. Viva the French Laundry!

Most are like many people, scared to death to venture out of a familiar setting. For those phobic souls there rat race is the only place on earth..

The traffic in So Cal was just as bad. At one point a 5 or 6 mile drive in Corona, and just Corona, was considered the worst drive in the country.
