The LA Times has journalists? What were they fired for, not doing their jobs for 50 years?

They are down to 350 or so people in their newsroom. Bet it is like a ghost town.

According to NBC it's not how many people are there, but what color are they?

~ This could very well be evidence that mainstream " fake news " media is losing their audience.

It is a number I saw in another article but if the 115 layoffs represent 20% ish of the newsroom as CNN reported then there would be at least 400 ish more remaining just by the rough math. As for what color they are, I have no idea. This does not appear to be a last-hired, first-fired layoff. As I posted before, these were highly targeted cuts suggesting that they are reorienting their coverage as apparently their Washington bureau was gutted as well as their sports and business reporting stable. I did see a tweet by a middle-aged looking white guy who covered music saying he was being canned and reporting that the white woman who ran the DC office was also part of the purge.

w/o the 5 Ws and 1H journalism becomes Fake News, and over time Fake News becomes a very hard sell.

"Journalists and researchers use the Five Ws of “Who,” “What,” “When,” “Where,” and “Why” to ensure that their reporting is accurate, comprehensive, and objective. They usually add “How?” The factual answers may lead to other explanations of the “why” and “how.”

The MSM is generally, among other things, a very racist institution.

"CNN just announced two new hosts for the 8 p.m. prime time hour recently vacated by Campbell Brown: Eliot Spitzer and Kathleen Parker. Last week, MSNBC announced that the new host for its 10 p.m. prime time show would be network staple Lawrence O’Donnell. What do these three people have in common (and thankfully for O’Donnell and Parker, it’s not being caught with your socks down with a prostitute)? Pretty obvious: They’re white.

They’re white like Chris Matthews is white, like Bill O’Reilly is white and Keith Olbermann is white, like Wolf Blitzer is white and Megyn Kelly is white and John King is white and Ed Schultz, Greta Van Susteren, Jake Tapper, Joe Scarborough, Bob Schieffer, David Gregory, Chris Wallace, Rachel Maddow, and Dylan Ratigan are white, not unlike the lion’s share of their guests."
THE DAILY BEAST, MSNBC, CNN, Fox: Cable News Is Very White, Thought a black president would lead to more diversity on cable news? Wrong. Since November 2008, the TV landscape has only gotten whiter. Rachel Sklar on what changed between Obama’s election and the hiring of Eliot Spitzer." BY RACHEL SKLAR, 06.23.10 8:31 PM ET.

Of course, some of those dinosaurs are gone, but probably not because they were white.

When you give POC jobs most probably don't deserve, due to AA and DEI, when you start firing people, thems the breaks. I guess if they ONLY fired all the white people, a minority ONLY business will flourish, hehe. Get Woke Go Broke! We said it years ago and it is truly satisfying watching them all go down.

Nothing wrong with hiring white people and its certainly not evidenceof racism.

Well, our "progressive" MSM is very good at hiring white people.

"The company has a white problem across the board. Did you know that there’s not one black creative executive working at CBS Television Network or CBS Television Studios? Of the network’s 36 creative executives — all upper management roles that deal with content development, casting, current production, daytime and alternative programming — there are only three women of color, none black. There is not one executive of color working in casting at CBS. The one Latino executive hired in casting last year lasted eight months. He works at Netflix now."

Openly biased sources are always more credible than those who pretend to be objective.
This is especially true when they report against their bias.

    For instance:

"The organization that uncovered the world of offshore tax havens and rogue international finance in the Panama Papers and Luxembourg Leaks has shifted its attention to fake science. In collaboration with reporters from 18 news outlets all over the world, German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung examined 175,000 scientific articles published by five of the world’s most prominent pseudo-scientific publishing platforms. The result? The collaboration found that some 400,000 scientists worldwide have been published in these journals since 2013."

The fact regressives view a problem as a "white problem" is further indicative of the reality that racism towards white people is the most prevalent form currently occurring.

Racism, as opposed to government is an unnecessary evil. It is unfortunate that the American DP is a political party based on systemic institutional racism and the disenfranchisement of its opposition. This is a problem "progressive" Democrats seem unable to get past.

"The integration battles of the Civil Rights era happened more than half a century ago, but the U.S. is getting more, not less, segregated, as that past recedes.
More than 80% of large metropolitan areas in the United States were more segregated in 2019 than they were in 1990, according to an analysis of residential segregation released Monday by the Othering & Belonging Institute at the University of California-Berkeley. The U.S. has become more diverse over time, which has obscured the persistence of segregation, the report finds. Metropolitan areas aren’t all-white, all-Black, or all-Latino, but within metropolitan areas, the different races are clustered in segregated neighborhoods, creating social and economic divisions that can fuel unrest.”
TIME MAGAZINE, U.S. RACE, The U.S. Is Increasingly Diverse, So Why Is Segregation Getting Worse?, BY ALANA SEMUELS JUNE 21, 2021.
    https://time.com/6074243/segregation-america-increasing/

IMO, almost all ordinary DP voters, as opposed to their party bosses, would choose a better way to hang onto political power.

It's as though ole Samuel was talking about the MAGA crowd. "Fake news" , "Alternative facts" and disbelief in the face of facts and actual journalism describes them perfectly based on their actions and spoken words.

    Bet he's thrilled a CNN

'SO WILL CNN ANCHORS BE LEARNING TO CODE, OR BUILDING SOLAR PANELS?' CNN Appears on the Verge of an Epic Collapse.

“CNN is trying to keep up with the news landscape and become a digital-first provider,” a source said. “It makes sense for them to pursue anchors who have already established a presence there — especially if TV becomes history in their portfolio!”

'CNN’s previous attempt at a digital platform failed miserably, with it’s subscription-based streaming service, CNN+, a mere three weeks after its launch back in April 2022. CNN+ aimed for an ambitious goal of securing 2 million subscribers within its inaugural year, but only managed a meager 150,000 subscribers and purportedly less than 10,000 daily viewers during its highly-hyped launch, making it clear that it was never going to match projections, resulting in the streaming platform being put out of its misery within a month.'

    But they landed Chris Wallace.

CNN plunges behind History Channel, obscure Western network in prime time ratings.

    Coal miners become computer coders.
    —Headline, CNN.com, April 22nd, 2016.

They are TV’s ghosts — networks that somehow survive with little reason to watch them anymore.

And now the LA Times? Too bad they didn't focus on supplying what their audience wants rather than what the DNC wants pressed into them as propaganda.

The Democrats MUST create problems and issues so voters elect them to fix them.

Through the hard work of the left and the media outlets, they have a big portion of people believing this woke non-sense and implementing equity and inclusion policies which are racist from the start. But they defend it because of the "big issues" that exist.

Then, after hiring all these minorities and they get laid off... guess what? It proves racism again.

    It's all so utterly ridiculous.

Ask any hard-core lefties what the biggest danger to the US is, and many will tell you white supremacy. Lol. Where? Where are all these white supremacists?

All the while, a genocide of young black males is occurring all over the urban metros around the country. Silence.

It's so unbelievably detached from reality.
