    Joe wants money for Ukraine. Announces he will "Shut down the border right now" if Congress sends him the deal that provides it.

    He's telling them the border crisis can be "Shut Down" immediately- (but we have to seriously doubt if that means anything) if he gets his way elsewhere. Holding the nation hostage has become a viable way to get his way. The President has a SWORN DUTY to defend the border. That's not negotiable.

    The Bar keeps falling. While the actions and decisions of this administration are reprehensible and destructive- the methods they are willing to employ as if they were acceptable; the total absence of honor is absolutely appalling, and speaks to character and fitness.

    LOL! Bribery? I guess Trump telling Johnson that he will be in his good graces, as long as he blocks the border deal, is also bribery?

    Joe isn't trading his personal approval to get his way-

    He's saying he will stop the invasion of the nation if he gets his way.

    Of course, that is an empty promise he wouldn't keep anyway.
    Mindless minions won't know the difference.
    He thinks there are enough of those that he can get away with it.

    His way would be to deal with honest brokers in the House and Senate.. since we don't have that in the House today, he deals with the **** hand he holds...

    Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1 works for me

    The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States

    Our Pentagon, NSA, and State Department would disagree with you on funding the defense of Ukraine after Russia's invasion, making you the distinct minority in that equation....

    The article clearly states:
    "“A bipartisan bill would be good for America and help fix our broken immigration system and allow speedy access for those who deserve to be here, and Congress needs to get it done,” Biden said. “It’ll also give me as president, the emergency authority to shut down the border until it could get back under control. If that bill were the law today, I’d shut down the border right now and fix it quickly.”
    You missed that on purpose.

    So we are defending ourselves from what, and how is the war in Ukraine effecting our general welfare? I would think the overrun at the southern border holds far more of a danger to our welfare than Ukraine does. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Clearly ByDummy could do as he likes if he simply uses the same tactic on the southern border as he is using to finance Ukraine, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1.
