Which doesn't make me wrong. Eisenhower warned us about the military industrial complex. While I don't wish to see Russia victorious in their conquest of Ukraine, it does not threaten our national security. There are 44 countries in Europe all with their own military. What's their obligation? It's in their backyard, after all. Why are we contributing more than any of them? If the EU and non-EU nations had all sent their militaries into Ukraine right after the invasion occurred this could have been put to rest in a matter of days. Instead, as always, they sit back and watch us do the heavy lifting for them. The left loves to sit back and glorify the generous European welfare states, but the only reason they can afford all of those freebies is because we are providing a good chunk of their defense over there, in turn allowing them to have subpar militaries. We have a lot of obligations right here in America that aren't getting the attention they need.

Amazing how anything that doesn't align with the with the narrative of the left is immediatly downgraded from opinion to "retardation".
That way, the need to address things factually is eliminated.

The two issues- Our border and funding for the Ukraine, are not even related.

Of course that assumes those moral minions have some fundamental means of response more definitive than grunts and mumbles.

Same compromise as saying I will stop pimping out your daughter if you give me a new car.....
Read the Oath of Office. The duty of defense of the nation is not negotiable. Not a poker chip you play or a carrot you dangle- it's absolute duty.

Oh, it's "unlimited" now? Assisting Ukraine is a priority, and those issues aren't mutually exclusive. Really---do some minimal reading on Ukraine. You plainly haven't beyond Trump's painfully uninformed punchlines.

Invasion? You meant to say minor incursion which Biden shrugged off.

All Biden has to do is erase everything he did on the first day he took office. Why doesn't he do that instead of trying to extort republicans by first getting what he wants and then he'll act on the border? If Biden really and truly wanted to secure the border, he would not tie a border bill to Zelensky.

The way the left defends pumping billions of our dollars into Ukraine is by saying it weakens Russia. Well I'm here to say that if Russia can't mop the floor with Ukraine, then they were already pretty weak to begin with.

"Biden offers fresh assurances he would shut down border ‘right now’ if Congress sends him a deal"

republicans do not really want the border shut down or they would call him on this one and pass the bill

if he did not follow through, they could run with that up to the election

A priority? All I see is us pumping money into a meat grinder where hundreds of thousands are being killed, people's home and livelihoods are being destroyed all while we pay for the pensions of Ukrainians along with paying to keep their small businesses afloat. All that is happening and I don't see Biden, Trudeau, Europe or even the UN trying to negotiate a peace deal. Heck, all those entities are trying to negotiate a peace deal between Hamas and Israel, but not Ukraine and Russia. Why?

Biden doesn't really want the border shut down or he would cancel the executive orders he signed on the day he took office.

Yeah, Russia skipped the minor incursion step and went right to the invasion step. But Biden was 100% correct there could have been shades of Moscow activity that wouldn't have been full on invasion. Sort of like the way he's currently trying to handle the Houthi problem

Luckily for Joe, the Russian president is as dangerously insane as Joe's predecessor....

So happy when MAGA isn't running foreign policy.... It's all an on/off switch with them.... no dials having many different settings.

This of course is true. The GOP has absolutely no platform or accomplishments they can speak of. All they have left is the southern border. Our economy is booming, we are more energy independent now than at any other time in our history and there is no recession on the horizon. Keeping the border as their top issue is all they have left. Of course the GOP doesn't want to pass a bill while a Dem is POTUS.

Well, don't forget, the GOP is against teaching CRT to LGBTQ+ fetuses at Disney World after 15 weeks....

It’s long past time to fix it.
That’s why two months ago, I instructed my team to begin negotiations with a bipartisan group of Senators to seriously, and finally, address the border crisis. For weeks now that’s what they’ve done. Working around the clock, through the holidays, and over weekends.
    Let’s be clear.
What’s been negotiated would – if passed into law – be the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we’ve ever had in our country.
It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law.
    https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...partisan-senate-border-security-negotiations/

    ...
Congress has always been the way to deal with country issues.
Laws and constitution has to be followed. So, Congress has to create laws to deal with border.

Which neither party wants, as the immigration is part of how our economy operates. In fact, it's vital.

Donnie never shut down border either. He did have the use of a pandemic that gave him the illusion of shutting it down, but he didn't really. He just made immigrants stay in Mexico for health of the countries reasons during covid.
And he had to use a special law to do that. Which had to end once the pandemic ended.

Donnie, had used many illegal immigrants in several of his businesses. Even had some at some golf course(s) while he was president.

Which president has ever pulled troops out of Europe since the end of WW2? None.
Europe has not had major war since WW2 because of our military.
Right, wrong, or indifferent. But our troops have been a stabilizing force since WW2.

I've read enough to get a laugh out of Americans that were told Russia was a threat when in reality they can't even overrun a lil turd of a country like Ukraine :)
