‘Construction is ongoing’: Gov. Abbott touts border wall, says Texas ‘will not back down’

“Unbeknownst to most Americans, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott hasn’t just been installing razor-wire along the border against the Biden administration’s wishes; he’s also been building a border wall of his own.

“Texas made history as the first and ONLY state to build our own border wall. Construction is ongoing,” the governor revealed in a tweet posted Saturday. “We will not back down from our efforts to secure the border.”…


…“Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 497,600 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 39,000 criminal arrests, with more than 35,200 felony charges,” a press release from his office reads.

“In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 458 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this border mission,” the press release continues.

The press release further notes that Texas has also shipped over 100,000 criminal illegal aliens to blue cities like Washington, D.C., and New York City….

This is indeed good news! While they’ve been skirmishing over razor wire, Texas has on private property on the border been building a wall similar to what Trump was doing. The amount of Fentanyl doses intercepted is good for us too.

 

God bless Texas. Way to go Governor Abbott. Please continue what you are doing.

 

Too bad Trump lied to all of us about Mexico paying for that wall and that he was such a crappy negotiator that he couldn't
even get his own party to agree on a cohesive immigration policy. Both parties suck on this issue.

 

Any cohesive immigration policy should have as a goal, no illegal border crossings. All border crossings should include proper processing at the border. Trump was orders of magnitude ahead of Biden on that issue.

 

Trump's narcissism got in the way of any consensus building - a prerequisite for running a government - so it doesn't matter. Trump is worthless
in this situation.

 

In spite of his many faults, Trump had much better control of the border.

 

Dude, Trump did more to secure this border than anyone and the left fought it as hard as they could. Do you remember the left saying there is no wall Trump can build that they can't tear down? I do.

If you want lies, then call out the democrats who say it's the GOP who is holding up a border security bill when they passed one last may called HR2. Look it up.

And if you want the whopper of lies of all time that even WaPo called the lie of the year, then call out Obama for telling us we'd save $2500 on our health costs and the care would improve.

 

And it did.

 

So he's not actually securing the border.
