You are claiming that it was not immoral for us to target civilians, and not immoral for Israel to target civilians . . . but it is immoral for Hamas to target civilians. No I didn't say that. I said it was immoral to have the attitude to demand that Israel aid and supply the same enemy wanting to destroy them.

Hamas is at war and will implement any measures to win that war. That includes sacrificing Palestinians, targeting Israelis.

Israel can only defeat the Palestinians and Hamas if they do what it takes to defeat them.

Making sure their enemy is well fed and supplied is not a commensense strategy to defeat their enemy. Only the enemy of Israel would suggest that.

Yes it was. It was also pointless. Hitler was actually happy when the civilians were bombed instead of his military industrial capacity. In the end the process hardened the population against surrender and extended the war causing higher casualties. Not to mention all of the bomber crews who died bombing civilians instead of military industrial capacity. In the end, Germany fought to the bitter end.

If you read the after-action reports in WWII, this becomes obvious and clear.

The ruthless bombing of Korea was far worse and we still have North Korea and a population which is still ruled by the Kims. North Vietnam was bombed. Iraq was bombed. We rebuilt it and bombed it again. And we are bombing it again.

Success occurs when the U.S. behaves peacefully. Japan did not become our friend because we bombed them. They became friendly because we were friendly. Germany did not become our friend because we bombed them. They were friendly because we were friendly.If every few years, we fire-bombed Germany and Japan for some perceived slights, they would not be our friends and I'm sure we would be getting terrorist bombings from them instead of BMWs and Toyota's.

Israel has controlled the flow of food into Gaza for a very long time. It is an issue that should have been addressed before now. That said, I am conflicted about whether or not this is a specific strategy to starve them into submission or whether i is just a byproduct of making sure the bad guys can't flee or obtain more weapons coming in. While I generally support the right of innocent people in Gaza from being targeted, on this issue, there isn't enough clarity for me to make that call.

Imo if we are to accept the Hamas total dead at 27,000 it’s reasonable to accept the Israeli number of 10,000 dead Hamas
