Likes vs messages, as you were speaking about in a post that was likely deleted, seems to be correlated to the following things:

1. Saying something very partisan, especially if it's conservative (this forum is majority conservative).
2. Starting prominent OPs.
3. Replying in a partisan way on the first page of a prominent thread.
4. Not getting into endless back and forths on page 20-40 of a thread sane people abandoned long ago (that one's my problem).

Taxation is one thing. Nothing inherently wrong with it, the nation couldn't survive without it. Double, triple, and quadruple taxation, however, is something else entirely. You already pay income tax on your earned income, then you have to pay sales tax, then you even have to pay taxes on the money you were already taxed on when you die in the form of inheritance tax. It never ends.

 

Portugal has 3.2% of our population....
