Hunter Admits to $5.1M Shakedown Text, Claims He Was 'High or Drunk'

"Hunter Biden did not deny he shook down a foreign business client with his demand for a $5.1 million payment as his father Joe Biden was seated next to him; instead, he said he was "high or drunk" when he sent the text he now regrets.

It was Hunter playing "the drug card" in the face of allegations of impropriety and avoiding lying under oath, according to House Oversight Chair James Comer, R-Ky., to Newsmax's "Rob Schmitt Tonight."

"Hunter admitted that he was high or drunk when he sent the 'sitting here with my father' WhatsApp message, sent it to the wrong recipient, and is now embarrassed by the message," according to a reported readout of Hunter Biden's official closed-door testimony Wednesday before the House impeachment investigators, the New York Post and Daily Mail reported."

Now -- is it fair to observe that regarding Joe Biden, Vice-President of the United States, one of two things were true when this meeting occurred?

Either:

1. "Big Guy" Joe was in already in some kind of geriatric 'torpor' which negated his ability to understand what was going on right in front of him.

2. Joe knew full well what was going on, and it was just "another day at the office" for the Biden Family 'business'.

Which do you think it was...? Or, if something else, what could it have possibly been...?

 

What a family. Hunter sitting with crooked joe completely whacked out of his mind calling people and shaking them down for millions with the soon to be president holding his hand.

 

Joe Biden was not vp in July 2017. I don’t think he had a job at all. Is it illegal for unemployed old men to sit next to their son?

 

Wait….I thought the message was fake, isn’t that what Biden’s lawyer told us?

 

I believe the point is Hunter wasn’t seated next to his father when he wrote the text.

 

Or, 3. Joe wasn't sitting there, and Hunter was shooting off his mouth, possibly drunk or using drugs, and Hunter felt some sort of cockiness. No where does it state that Joe was actually sitting near Hunter at the time, and the article you posted even states it was proven Joe was not anywhere around Hunter on that particular date. Makes me wonder where you get your 1. and 2. from when the article makes it clear it was neither.
Sounds like alcohol to me, and I have seen this on this message board from members here. I read this at all times of day and night, and I've noticed some of the posts take on a different tone late on Friday evening.

I think the point is that Hunter is lying and isn't credible.

 

THIS is why Hunter was right to demand his testimony be public.

I’ll make a bet with anyone that the actual transctipts of what he said wont be released until AFTER the election, and that when they do finally come out, this will be another nothingburger, but the right will make sure they can campaign on it to hurt Joe

 

Shaking down a Chinese energy company forcing payments by threat or misuse of authority is called extortion.

 

I see that Comer is still up to his old tricks.

Assuming that any of this is true (a dubious assumption at best), one has to wonder why Comer and his cronies refused to allow Biden to testify in public.

After all, getting Hunter Biden to allegedly admit that he shook down the national Chinese oil company while he was stoned, would have played well on television. Fox would have run it in an endless loop.

But Comer refused to get this nugget in open testimony.

So, he could, once more, play this game of leaking sensational claims to hyper partisan right wing tabloid news.

I’s certain that this claim won’t hold up under much scrutiny. Comer’s primary sources have been indicted.

I think this is a Hail Mary pass to try and keep the trope alive.

Oh, you may be sure that nobody in the room was believing that Joe Biden was just some "old guy sitting next to his son" while Hunter was working the "Family Business" strategy for raking in over $5 Million dollars. The ages-old ploy of using family "auctoritas" was well known in every culture from the Roman Empire on up to 2017... and beyond.

 

Yet he convinced a Chinese Energy he did and they give him 5 million.

What's 'fictional'? The testimony (TESTIMONY) of Hunter Biden has been given now, under oath. And we're all supposed to just disregard it because 'sonny-boy' says, "Oh, I musta just been stoned or something"...? Bullshit!

 

What power did Joe have in 2017 that he could corruptly abuse?

 

We haven’t seen his testimony. We don’t know what he said. We do know that Joe had no power for him to corruptly abuse in 2017

 

Right. Joe couldn’t have possibly been there. Those damn travel records keep getting in the way of the investigation. Which, of course, like Smirnov they had possession of that knowledge. But, then again, saw dust is cocaine in a zealots eyes.

When you've been a long-time senator AND Vice-President of the United States, you are a power to be kept happy and feared. When such a powerful man is in a room with his son wanting you to give him something, if you're smart, you GIVE it. AND THEY DID.

Next, I'll be cursed as being a "MAGA", and if so, that will be bullshit, too! I don't want Donald Trump anywhere near the White House again, but that doesn't mean that myself and a lot of other unaffiliated Independents appreciate Joe Biden, his family, or anything they did while 'riding his coat tails'....

He wanted a public hearing because they are only allowed 5 minutes to question per committee member.
In a private setting they have 1 hour each to drill down on questions.
So now they are going to have a public hearing to go over the questions they confirmed and Democrats now don't want it.
