I'll take the group effort over the "one great man" admin.
The job of president should be a group effort.

Trump is a mean person, but he doesn't drool on himself at the podium like Biden does. Any Democrat trying to bring this up should check their own backyard first.

And by all accounts I have a pet dragon named gargala that lays golden eggs.

Just saying things doesn't make them true. We can all see for ourselves.
Then you are selective based on party I can watch Biden attempt to speak. He forgets who he is what his job is what year it is and where he is, who his wife is. Haven't seen Trump do any of that

But that's a false equivalency. "ALL" accounts of your pet dragon are "YOUR" account. Everyone that is closely involved with President Biden confirms that he is mentally sharp, attentive and involved.
I guess that's why they call this an opinion board.
You've just reworded what I've already debunked.
I've never seen President Biden forget who he is. He's a public speaker that makes mistakes, after all of his time in public office it's reasonable to expect him to say something that applies to a former position. The right sits on the edge of their seats looking for a sound bite they can edit to make him look bad.

Yep, he's decompensating right on national TV, slurring, not being able to find words, drifting off into some crazy reality, inability to focus. Biden stammers and that makes him butcher words, everyone will forget a name or name association (Tim "Apple") with the POTUS schedule. Joe's gait is that of an older adult but he can ride a bicycle. Trump is too scared to get on a bike much less ride one. And, most importantly, Joe's focused on decisions for the country while Trump thinks the country is his to do with as he wishes.

It's pitiful, to see a significant segment of our people lower themselves to the point where they surrender dignity, self-respect and even their own future, to serve hate- and fail to recognize what is happening to them.
Not hate for something done to them, but hate cultivated in them in order to use them as a political weapon. No person obsessed with hate has control of their own lives or their own mind- they become pawns, puppets, minions serving obediently yet still believing they are acting independently. The obsession blinds them to the realities.

Of all human weaknesses, I think this is perhaps the most dangerous. It not only acts like a malignancy in the obsessed person, but can be spread and cultivated in the minds of any person lacking the mental integrity to think for themselves. Like computers being fed viruses, those who don't have strong, sound rules to protect their integrity will fall victim to them.

Unfortunately, this isn't limited to people lacking intelligence or education. It's more prevalent in those who's quotient of accuracy is intangible. While a mechanic's competence can be measured by the performance of what he repairs, psychologists for example- cannot. It's opinion. Even the skill is an intangible. One gets that degree by being able to regurgitate what the teachers want to hear.

One psychologist that attended a class I taught had strange questions, so I asked him why he was there. He told me that he first took psychology to learn to understand himself. When that didn't get the job done, he moved us the scale in search of that answer. At the time he was in my class, because that is a skill I was teaching- and he was trying another alternate. He was about to get his Master's degree in college.... because he had yet to succeed. He was planning to get a PhD, and become a clinical psychologist.

So when someone quotes psychologists as if they were conclusive proof of anything... I think about that guy, and all the people who might have come to him, assuming his degree meant he actually knew what he was doing. While we don't know how many psychologists also go to therapists, still trying to understand themselves, it is common.

You can't accurately read the characteristics of other people until you can read and know yourself well. There is no way around that. Some people were fortunate enough to have had that ability embedded by their childhood environment, most do not. Some work to find it and improve themselves, most do not. We can't help those who won't help themselves.

At the rally in Richmond last night, Trump pretended to mix up his words, names and country on purpose to drive the mainstream media crazy.

    Do you believe him?

Just before, he said Putin didn't like Obama, believing he was still the POTUS.

I think a LOT of Trump faithful have no idea what good management truly is. They thought “The Apprentice was the epitome of good management and in fact it was the opposite

No, honestly, Trump IS getting worse to the point his rallies are struggling to get anything like a decent crowd and those who do turn up are leaving early

That is a near perfect discription of right wing hate for their fellow countrymen on the left.

    That's not true. :wtf:

The work of psychologists is absolutely measurable, they help a lot of people in many ways EVERY DAY. That you want to diminish this guy that has observable concerns about tRaitor tRump isn't an excuse for you to discount a whole profession.
If that's advice ... you should take it.
I can't help but think you were looking in the mirror when you wrote that.

Nope its a false equivilancey of a fantasy (dragons) to real life.
No, I don't think they are, there's too many of them.
Not if you close your eyes to tRaitor tRumps faults, as so many of his faithful have.

Yep, it was my opinion. Tell me, do you think it is professional for a doctor to diagnose a patient without even meeting them, running test and interacting with them? Why would a professional doctor do this? Does he think the doctors that see him are incompetent and he needs to interject his professional opinion? How many other people does he diagnose without any information beyond video? Is this his thing and what he does for a business model?

After thinking about my questions does it make you think WTF. Is he being professional?

That's a pretext for rejecting his opinion out of hand.

Except that psychiatry is the behavioral analysis of an individual.

If a doctor were to appear in the media to claim that Trump must have cancer because he observed some symptom in him, I would certainly laugh at him.

In this case, a psychiatrist gives his opinion following his observations of Trump.

He's not the only one: 36 others have done the same.

Trump is a public figure and appears in thousands of hours of recordings.

At the FBI, there are hundreds of agents (profilers) trained to assess criminal behavior without having met.

So it appears to Dr. Gartner and 36 other colleagues, based on their observations, that Trump is suffering from the beginnings of dementia.

    Because he's a patriot.

I am not a psychiatrist but I would think before giving a medical diagnoses you would need more than observation. I could understand the observation can give you suspicions but those suspicions should lead a real doctor to want to do more test and studies.

Correct me if I am wrong but being a patriot is not part of the requirement of being a medical professional. In fact I think it is the opposite. A patriot may not treat an enemy because they could do your country harm.

I don't quite understand what you're getting at, but it seems obvious to me that Dr. Gartner wants to warn Americans that Trump's dementia represents a danger to the country.

I have no problem with people being anti-Trump. My issue is he is trying to use his medical credentials to do so without professionalism. If he is concerned about Trump's health did he reach out to Trump to offer is services? Did he contact his doctors to try to offer his opinion? Instead he went on the David Parkman blog to offer his medical opinion without ever meeting the patient or doing any test. We are back to square one.

Didnt Ronnie Jackson say something about Biden's mental capacity...and the right wing lopped it up and didn't question his opinion.
