It's ridiculous to accuse the Republican Party of banning abortion at the federal level. The Supreme Court just ruled that abortion laws are set by each individual state.

No one was silenced by the government.
That the government rightly refused to platform this looniness is not silencing anyone.

If the government did, in fact, silence opposition voices...
How is it you know about it?
How is it these clowns have been allowed to file lawsuit after lawsuit as opposed to being locked up in a SuperMax?

Don't you just hate it when logic and reason force their way into a conversation?

It’s most definitely silencing when they push for compliance from social media to ban them.

That is a decision by the social media companies, not any government.

    Coerced is not forced.
    AND
"coerce" is a word without meaning.

    Is "asking" coercion?
    How about saying "pretty please?"

Your source says nothing about "threat" and, absent any threat, there is no coercion.
    AND
Your source only mentions the word "coerce" in the title...

I'm guessing you just looked it up and didn't actually read it.

They followed the rules despite pressure from the Democrats to ignore the rules. You know that.

A federal appeals court has upheld the ruling of a lower federal court that the Biden administration did indeed violated the first amendment by essentially establishing an Orwellian Ministry of Truth. The Biden administration has threatened to raise this issue to the Supreme Court. The main topic of the suit is Covid information. Section 230B states that social media companies cannot be held liable for content that users post on the platforms. Social media companies have unethically in my and many others opinions perverted 230B into a license for the social media companies to censor any information and sources of information that they arbitrarily decide to.

Or you refuse to read the article (shaking my head)

    here’s a quote

the appeals court concluded that the White House, the Surgeon General's office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation likely violated the First Amendment by coercing social media platforms into moderating posts on their sites.

It also said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention likely violated the First Amendment, though its actions were "not plainly coercive."

I get it. No one like to be wrong but the government did limit free speech. Did you even pay attention to the twitter release?

You don't "go into" secondary education in university. Secondary education teachers have at least baccalaureate degrees and then go through "teacher training," typically organized by a university Education faculty. Overall, K-12 teachers are often near the bottom of university programs. We've lost a lot of smart women in public education as opportunities for women have opened up in other fields.
Here's a story for you... some years ago an awful business teacher colleague got a masters in computer education. I asked her if she had spent much time workings with OOP programming. She asked, "What's that?" Egads.

BTW, Yale isn't special in regard to PhDs not going through "teacher training." Some if them could do a better job if they learned how to teach.
Why don't you armchair education critics think about hiring smarter teachers and leaving them to deal with students learning about homosexuality. Teachers can't manage a relationship with a classroom of students if they can't exercise their judgment. How are we supposed to explain bisexuality, homosexuality, transsexuality, etc. if we have to run everything by individual parents? I sponsored student government in senior high school with student populations in four digits. There were students I didn't know.

    was that from Elmo?
I read it, didn't sound extensively stupid but who knows, Elmo could have plagiarized it.
