    He didn't say "bloodbath"?

Wait! Wow, since he didn't say it he's said it five or six more times! He said he said "bloodbath".

For a guy who supports a liar of some 50 billion individual lies (54,000 during his presidency) you sure picked the wrong ****ing issue!

LIES? It's what Donald Trump is made of....he's an assembly of millions and millions and millions of lies about lies on top of lies about lies all fake.

    A MAGA calling someone else a liar.........wow. That's dark.

But you have to admit it IS very, er, involved crap.

I mean he used a ****ing sharpie to try to convince us he wasn't full of **** and in so doling proved there is NOTHING BUT **** in his being!

    Projection is the new denial.

Denial isn't valid anymore since drug users wore it out

He may have started intending to talk to the automobile industry but he clearly changed track...stopping himself to speak the phrase in question.

Noe if you're telling me trump isn't cognitively capable of saying what he means...
    We can have that discussion

    but
He said what he said and, given his history, there is little room for misinterpretation or to borrow a phrase "stand back and stand by."

I do not choose to ignore what is in front of my eyes.

One cannot derive intent from a single quoted passage.
One must do so by observing actions and history.

Is there a probability Trump did not mean "bloodbath for America?" Sure.
Is there a probability he, in fact, did mean "bloodbath for America" if he loses.

"Fool me once shame on you."

    Good points, Thx.

Yes...observation is imperative now. Trump is becoming "unhinged"........and when psychopaths are cornered , they are anxious , feel threatened and "act out" verbally and physically. (or get others to act on their behalf usually by 'suggestion, inference r insinuation.)

His cognitive impairment might be the result of his age, the drugs he takes, and his personality disorder. His concentration is not focused eitehr.
He is NOT a coherent speaker by any stretch of the imagination. His supporters say that they like him for saying what he thinks. The problem is he lies so much , distorts realtiy.......one cannot be certain of what he mans. He has one objective..........to keeep hisfollowers convinced to beleive him and keep followinghim and to get elected. He wants the power of the office so badly.......and for his own personal , self centered reasons.

Then why didn't the left include his full quote rather than truncating it? Were they afraid that the majority of people would realize he was talking about the automobile industry?

They did include the full quote.
As noted, he stopped himself while talking about the auto industry and changed the focus to "America"

Are you proposing some type of Freudian slip?

It was continuous and he specifically mentioned the auto industry both before and after the truncated quote.

The left intentionally truncated it. Every single report I saw except Fox truncated it. My newspaper mentioned the auto industry as an afterthought.

The full quote is as follows and there was no break.
“If you’re listening, President Xi — and you and I are friends — but he understands the way I deal. Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now … you’re going to not hire Americans and you’re going to sell the cars to us, no. We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected. Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories.”

By the way. Trump is a business man and blood bath is also a business term referring to a large business loss.

Notice how there are no apologies when they push a hoax?
No anger at their 'trusted sources' who misled them again?

I don't think they are misled. I think they actively and deliberately work to peddle the hoaxes and could care less that they are lies.

Right there in the middle of your quote.
Are you saying Trump said "dash dash dash?"
    Is there a pronunciation I don't understand?

    OR

Did he hesitate while changing track from "bloodbath in auto industry" to "bloodbath for all of America?"

Are you saying we can't believe or trust the words coming from Trump's mouth?

They were short breaks in his speaking. Maybe a half second long each. Such a pause is common for most speakers.
A short pause after 'Xi", one after "friends" and one after "whole". None of those indicated a change of subject.

Then someone needs to tell him that Blood Bath & Beyond has nothing to do with the automobile industry and it went bankrupt last year.

Can that twisted logic fit in your head?

They know. The Left uses the term as much as anyone else, for example
The thing here is that they are desperately trying to hide the fact that Bribed Joe, who has been richly bibed by the Chinese plans to give away the rest of the Auto Industry to the Mexicans and the Chinese.

Trump is going to prevent this blood bath, if elected, with 100% tariffs to protect the US Auto Industry from the Chinese/Mexican alliance that is hell bent to take it over. You know what the Rich Privileged Gentry want to say to the Working and Middle Class Auto Workers that they hold i disgust and disdain as the disobedient unwashed? "LEARN TO CODE!"

The Left wing propaganda organs, in collusion with Bribed Joe, are trying to kick up a fuss over the term "bloodbath" because Trump is informing the US Autoworkers of Bribed Joe's plans.

And there is cause for alarm that Chinese vehicles and parts will only increase their access to the U.S. market, overcoming existing tariffs and evading existing trade enforcement measures, to directly challenge domestic automakers and threaten the jobs of millions of American manufacturing workers.

If Trump's elected, he will hit those Chinese vehicles and parts, coming up through Mexico, with a 100% tariff. They won't steal the US Auto Industry from US Auto Workers on Trump's Watch. Not by a damn sight.

'The report called on the United States to adopt a more “proactive and evolving” strategy to counter the Chinese agenda. It recommended that Washington raise tariffs on any Made in China vehicle and tighten USMCA regulations.'

Which is exactly what Trump is promising and what Bribed Joe and Propaganda Machine wants buried in the noise of their disinformation campaign on the term "bloodbath".

well, he should have made himself CLEAR in his comments so we all would not be arguing about what he said, when we all heard the same thing / He has to be a much more effective communicator to prevent this kind of "misunderstanding. His words will not work on the world stage if he is this incoherent.

The OP is not about the bloodbath quote. The OP is about the fact that 24 of his former 'very best people' tell us he is unfit for the office he seeks.

However, since you guys feel you must go down this rabbit hole, I'll oblige:

This line, can stand independent of the rest:

Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.

The whole country is going to experience a bloodbath if Trump isn't elected

THAT IS WHAT HE IS SAYING.

One doesn't need the automobile context, because clearly he is jumping outside of it, and he does that a lot in his speeches, jumping around all over the place.

What part of what he said do you not understand?

The ONLY debate is whether his intent was literal or not.

He has made similar hints to this effect in the past, the only difference is that, here, he is more explicit.

I think he is being literal, I think that is a fair conclusion, given 1/6.

In a previous comment, I said that i will accept it if he wasn't literal, but now I'm changing my mind, I think he meant it literally.

Trump is notorious for unfocused, incoherent, speech, he jumps around all over the place, and does it often, if not on every long speech more than a few seconds.
