    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/queens-woman-arrested-trying-keep-210000522.html

This particular case is getting the most attention but once you dig deeper this could be disastrous once people can easily start assuming control of peoples homes while police PROTECT the intruders? Lots of it is occurring now with the housing crisis and techniques for illegals are being shared how they can abuse laws to essentially steal homes from people.

Waiting for the castle doctrine to kick in because it won’t be long until a home owner loses their cool. It’s truly disgusting what some states are allowing and how police aren’t protecting home owners.

This is what Democrat policy has become. Thinking more and more it goes much bigger and much deeper. Tin foil hat time in regards to Russia and China destroying us from within.

It's been a problem, it just doesn't get covered by the news. Much like how terrible our prison system is. We just pretend nothing is going on.

    "Democrat policy?"

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
    and may I add
    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    It's THE LAW

    I'm in a house
You claim the house is yours
Is your claim valid? Is mine?
The police don't deal with civil disputes.
Absent an eviction notice their job is to keep the peace.
And if that means arresting you for being/threatening violence...that is what it means.

And lots of these aren't Democrats at all..

Squatting laws are perverse. If someone is on your property and has no claim of ownership to it(outside whatever pathetic squatting laws may exist) then their asses need removed. Simple as that. I can see making temporary exceptions during emergencies or extreme weather, but those will be few and far between and won't affect the majority of squatting situations.

I see you don't understand how leaseholds work.

These people are ripe for eviction, all she needs to do is evict them. Take about a month.

That's not how it always works. Laws differ depending on location. It is hardly that cut and dry.

    Mine's out of Texas.

It's going to get worse unless something is done and fast.

TikTokker tells illegal immigrants how to ‘invade’ American homes and invoke squatter’s rights

A migrant TikToker with a 500,000-strong online following is offering his comrades tips on how to “invade” unoccupied homes and invoke squatter’s rights in the United States.

Venezuelan national Leonel Moreno, who appears to live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, said in a recent video that under US law, “if a house is not inhabited, we can seize it.”

He appeared to be referring to adverse possession laws, commonly known as squatter’s rights, which allow unlawful property occupants rights over the property they occupy without the owner’s consent, in certain circumstances.

Moreno claimed in the viral TikTok clip, which has drawn more than 3.9 million views, that he has “African friends” who have “already taken about seven homes.”

I blame that guy for nothing. He's taking advantage of stupid laws that should not have existed in the first place. This is why all homes need boobie traps and cameras that can be viewed/controlled remotely

Mine doesn't exist, but the rest of the country isn't a carbon copy of your local Texas laws.

Its funny, no state in the union works adverse possession that way.
No state in the union passes title by forgery either.

The sov cit scams are a nightmare, but you can get your house back at the end of it and it just takes the basic eviction process.

Wow, so IGNORE the post and the real issue, but instead find CRAZY sovereign citizens. You've seen videos of these morons trying to get out of tickets, because they don't need ID, hehe. You understand those people are NOT republicans. They're anarchists.

And it's NOT a civil dispute if you trespass on someone's home and use fake documentation to claim you live there. That's home invasion. These aren't valid renters getting kicked out. They're making **** up and taking advantage. Did you even watch the video or videos? Not surprised you again take the side of the scumbags. Par for the course.

There is no "CLAIM" to a house. If you own the deed, the house is yours. If you break the locks, then change the locks, its not yours. Are you truly disputing this? Seriously? WTF?

    It's a civil matter.
    Let's say

You have a vacation house in colorado
While you're away I enter the house, change the locks, change the utilities, file a change of address with the post office.
You show up from your home in Ohio, find me there and call the police...

    When the police arrive they
    find me with
an ID showing the house as my residence
    utility bills in my name
    keys to the doors
    and you with
    An Ohio driver's license
Driving a car with Ohio tags

    Whose claim should they believe?

Me? They guy with possession and a boatload of paperwork
    or
You the guy with no paperwork

You obviously do not understand the relevant law.
Perhaps you should look it up.

Got nothing to do with "Liberals"

OH, and "Sovereign Citizens" who often use this scam almost always ID with the GOP so...

Only your extremely distorted world view would defend these people. Why would the true owners NOT have paperwork and proof its their home? The cops can look up rather quickly who owns the home. A couple of minutes of Q&A would quickly reveal who the true owners are and who is running a scam. ****, you could go to Zillow and look who the current and prior owners are. You must be trolling at this point. Go away. And its everything to do with Leftists.

    First, I'm defending no one.
I'm simply reporting to you the law as it stands.

Is it my fault you can't understand the law?
Why is it that every law you don't understand is "leftist?"

This is a leftist law, because obviously....people who are leftist seem to be happy with it, explaining it and telling other people how they just don't understand the law.

People on the right are expressing a need to change the laws and protect property owners.

    Then change the freaking laws!

TX, FL, OH, ...The law is the same in every state.
SO, why haven't you guys fixed it?

Or is just bitching about enough to satisfy the MAGAT victim mentality.

NOTE: To whoever whines about my use of the word "MAGAT." The term "leftist" was used several times as an insulting phrase. Why is it that the term "leftist" as an insult is OK but the term MAGAT is not?

I was explaining in my previous post why this is a leftist law. And you've made my point that it is.
