There is no evidence that the two even spoke, just like there is no evidence for your accusations about Joe. Seems reasonable. Until appeals are exhausted, it makes no sense to do damage that can't be undone, to the extent practical. This adjustment strikes a balance.

I would agree with that statement. $175M is not chump change. Get some money out of him for now, and let him appeal the full amount. Even if the appeal resulted in just the $175M as an ultimate settlement, that's still a loss for Trump Org, and Trump Org is still guilty of a felony conviction. Let' see how Trump starts to blabber about victory. Don't think the new appeals court won't be noting the arrogance and narcissism.

Instead, it looks like she didn't even make an attempt at all to look into the nature of the meeting, which would be in keeping with some of her other failures.

Beyond that Trump is probably eager to cut any business ties with NY, and after the election, the scofflaw court decision might well be overturned with Trump recovering damages for all the malicious prosecution, abuse of process, and crude political persecution.

NY, and NYC are very deep pocketed defendants. The pockets of governments are virtually bottomless.
Treasuries are tempting targets for tort lawyers. NYC could pay out over $1 Trillion and still have hundreds of billions left to compensate future victims.
