The merchants were making money selling sacrificial animals and the money changers were making money exchanging foreign currency for Sheckles, which were required for the temple tax. If they were breaking even, I doubt he would have had a problem. The problem was that they were profiteering. You'd understand this if you read the part where he called them a den of thieves. He would not have called them thieves unless they were personally benefitting.

For someone to recognize “ Trump is not Christian”, they have to be Christian first. They have to read the Bible and understand the teaching of Jesus to know what Christ-like behavior is and what is not. The So-called Christian MAGA thinks “ bragging about adultery” is a common behavior for Christian”. Imagin that. 38 time Bible forbid adultery, 67 times forbid fornication. But to MAGA “ it’s locker room talk”.

Fundamental teaching of Christianity is “ Eevryone is sinner and they must ask God’s forgiveness”. Trump says “ I never asked God’s forgiveness because I never done any thing wrong”. And MAGA Christians thinks that is Trump’s strength. These Christians might go to church and buy $60 Bible. But they are not Christian.
