For Mara Lardass? That's bullshit; there's no way Mara Lardass is worth $18B (tRaitor tRumps number), nobody appraised it at that.

No I'm referring to his market value. He paid an appraiser to appraise the property. The certified appraiser appraised the property above 500M. That's what he represented his property as because that's what the appraiser appraised it at. Which is EXACTLY what he's supposed to do.

He didn't want it valued at 18B I thought you were being facetious. He wanted it valued above 500M because that's what the appraiser appraised it at.

Yes. It is. When you know a deal was worth X million and you instead say it was Y million, that's a lie. I know Trump is incapable of understanding this. He is on record, under oath, saying that he doesn't understand that it would be a lie to say he had lunch with someone that he had not had lunch with, so I suppose there is a bit of an insanity defense here.

Try going back and reading what I originally said, since you already forgot. I said IF HE DOES THIS TO LENDERS, INVESTORS, AND TAX OFFICIALS, then it is a crime. Please read. And it looks like he did EXACTLY that. But since you were unaware that real estate investors are investors, let's move on to the next part.

I've read the book, and no, he doesn't specify that he only does this with other real estate investors . . . and even then, that would be illegal if he were to "exaggerate" like this to get them to invest. His kids already lost a different civil suit (and barely missed criminal charges) for engaging in daddy's "exaggeration" strategy with investors when they "truthfully exaggerated" how many units had been sold in Trump SoHo. So claiming that is is "not illegal by any stretch of the imagination" to lie to investors is bull ****, and you have to know that. If you didn't know that, then, well, that might explain why you still support Trump.

You pay an appraiser to appraise your property. When you pay them TO GIVE YOU THE RESULT YOU WANT (which is what you had said), you and the appraiser stand to get in a LOT of trouble.

What I love about this post is that it is just the perfect textbook example of Poe's Law. I can't tell if it is serious or a parody of what Trump supporters have actually deluded themselves into believing.

That's weird because Kevin O"Leary and several other prominent real estate investors said that what Trump did is done every day by every large real estate investor in the country.

I think imma go with the massive real estate investor who actually knows what he's talking about as opposed to some rando on a message board lol

Provide evidence that he paid the appraiser to give him the result he wanted and that the certified appraiser didn't do his job.

You're right I'm off a zero; sorry. He said that, paraphrasing, "$18m was a ridiculously low value for Mara Lardass, it's worth 10 times that". Mara Lardass is not worth $180m; I would like to see that appraisal. :eyepopping:

Oh they were talking about testimony at the trial — other accountants (they are all expert witnesses when called to testify for a third party) said there was fraud though.

    Thanks for that

We will just have to see how this plays out in appeals

And some people say that, based on revenue and operating losses, it is trading at about 20x what it should be.

Bound to drop to around $2/share once Trump blows through the IPO windfall.
Trump’s Truth Social is now a public company. Experts warn its multibillion-dollar valuation defies logic
“The underlying business doesn’t seem to be worth much. There is no evidence this is going to become a large, highly profitable company,” he said. “I’m reasonably confident the stock price will eventually drop to $2 a share and could even go below that if the company blows through the money it got from the merger.”

So I'm sure you're shorting with everything you have right?

And so is the dumbass you quoted. Right?

    No? I didn't think so

I am not a stock market kind of guy...
Personally, I don't give a flying fork who "shorts" what or who qualifies as a "dumbass"...
I guess we can all find out together where the stock is a year from now....
    Until then? :bored:

Thanks. That’s the one I was looking for. $2 a share.

    It's currently at $66 a share.

Seems like investors are propping it up, but are not going crazy with speculation. Time will tell. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

Truth is, that’s exactly what this means. There’s multiple different valuations on a property. The judge saying what he did means only tax value is allowed now.

Not at all what the judge said. Not even close. But you need to spin it that way.

One of the TikTok investors is now investing in DJT. And coincidentally trump changed his position on Chinese control of TikTok.

Trump can be bought. We’ve just seen it happen.
