You are right. "whataboutism" is a constant theme......on this thread and others that relate to Trump. The difference is that most of us on the left or middle are able to recognize the problems that exist with the Biden administration. Reality is reality. Trump defenders .....will defend, or rationalize Trump's conduct, no matter how despicable.

to Trump supporters it isn't "trash". They have bought into what Trump says to the point that his words have more influence over them.......then any logical fact checking agency. And this is creating an issue in society as a whole now. They defy the main stream news media, accept social media as a valid source, lies are truth.....etc. Sadly, there is no connective bridge between the two groups now. Trump has literally altered reality ....and his tribe have adpted this "reality" as their own.

I think the distinction is it's Trump promoting it this time. Did Biden retweet the other things you're talking about? Then it would be a similar level. The complaint isn't that some redneck got a politically violent custom paint job. The complaint is that Trump promoted it.

 

Given all of the rhetoric coming from Democrats and the very little amount of condemnation we saw in the Democrat universe about the severed head thing ( including Democrat politicians and pundits and the media )..... I don't really care and it's not something I'm going to get worked up over.
