'Reprehensible': Hush money prosecutor demands stricter gag order against Trump

The prosecutor in former President Donald Trump's criminal hush money case Monday demanded a stricter gag order to clamp down on his "dangerous, violent, and reprehensible rhetoric," court records show.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed his motion to New York City Justice Juan Merchan, whose daughter has been the subject of repeated attacks from Trump on his social media site Truth Social, according to court records.

"[Trump's] dangerous, violent, and reprehensible rhetoric fundamentally threatens the integrity of these proceedings and is intended to intimidate witnesses and trial participants alike—including this Court," Bragg wrote.

This is so much bigger, deeper and broader than Trump now. The civility was banished because it led to efforts to legislate compromise legislation that endangered the modern GOP efforts to replace loyalty to country and the American people, with loyalty to the base of its party. You cannot have civility and define as the enemy of American, the very people you are being civil to. Remember the modern GOP is performative, rather than productive. You need a script, a villain and hero to get that virtuoso performance captured and appreciated by the intended audience. You need to duplicate the same script, in all 50 states and contain the idea of compromise and productivity as legislative values. The modern GOP is leaning into a sick, twisted replica of what it once was and they are brazen about it.
