1- The US produces more oil today than under Trump.

    https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=mcrfpus2&f=m

2- The US has one of the lowest inflation rates in the G7.

This invalidates the claim that public investment has had a major impact on consumer prices.

Average economic growth under Obama was 1.53%.

    It was 1.03% under Trump.

That is the most ridiculous post I have ever seen on this board. Biden and Democrats have not tried to stop people from working. Quite the contrary.

When the job creation news came out, Fox News economic commentators were very disappointed.

They said that the economy was doing too well and that we'd have to wait even longer to see an interest rate cut from the FED.

They prove every day that idiocy doesn't kill.

When growth and employment rise, they complain about inflation. When anyone tries to do anything about inflation, they complain about interest rates and the accompanying fall in growth and employment. We just simply aren't dealing with honest actors.

    Important info;

Self-employment has significantly risen since March, 2019

    FRED’s all industries, self-employed unincorporated

    March 2019; 9,423,000

    March 2024; 10,106,000

    + 683,000

And Non-farm employment EXCLUDES self-employed/sole proprietors.

Myself, and due to the pandemic, I transitioned from being employed to self-employed, and my transition was trouble-free.

Last, here’s a message to the whiners/Debbie Downers who believe that America’s entrepreneurial spirit is dead…..”YOU ARE WRONG!”

That has got to be the most ridiculous either uninformed or purposely false I have on this or any other board.

False they worked with the teachers unions in fact to keep schools closed and continued to urge states and cities keep people closed down and promised and handed out even more money, see his ARP, to keep people out of the workforce.

Which doesn't cover our increased needs...............what has Biden done to increase our domestic energy supplies and refining, what are his policies to do so and have done so as you claim?

We are about in the middle so what, yes other countries have stupid leaders that use the same failed policies Biden does.

    Does supply?

Did Obama have COVID? Obama came into office during a recession his numbers should be WAY higher but then he produced the worst recovery in modern history.

If you can't refute the numbers then they stand, not my problem.

You just responded to your own post. In that post, you were defending numbers that you knew were fake. You didn't refute the number I provided; therefore it stands. Thank you for confessing that the rightwing has lied tens of millions of times about this.

    What you claim is false.

The US imported 20% more oil for domestic needs when Trump was POTUS.

    https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MTTIMUS2&f=M

Yeah, all the heads of state of all the G7 countries are idiots.

Trump is the only intelligent one.

Obama came into office with a much worse economy than Trump.

And before the pandemic, the GDP growth rate under Trump was equivalent to what Obama delivered.

Fact check proves your assertion wrong.

    https://www.politifact.com/factchec...-boebert-said-joe-biden-closed-schools-heres/
    • In March 2020, while former President Donald Trump was still in office, governors and state officials nationwide shut down K-12 schools because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • President Joe Biden called for school reopenings early in his presidency, but also pointed to reopening guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The decision whether to follow the CDC guidance rested with local and state officials.

Claim; “U.S. produces more oil today than under Trump”

TRUE……Trump’s highest production, February 2020, 13.1 million barrels per day, third week of March 2024, 13.2 million barrels per day.

Response; “Which does not cover our increased needs”

QUESTION; When was the last time our domestic production of crude oil covered our increased needs, such as our daily consumption of gasoline?

ANSWER; Certainly not under Trump’s watch

NOTE; Domestically, we would need to produce at least 18M bpd to meet our daily consumption of gasoline.

The response to this will be to just pretend it doesn't exist, actively deny it exists or somehow claim that more poeple having 2 jobs under Trump was proof of a good economy, while under Biden it is proof of a bad one.

Right wingers just cycle through various denial tactics like this, partly as a way of never having to think about the lies they spread and partly as a debating tactic. It is profoundly dishonest....but we all know that.
