"Uri Berliner, a veteran at the public radio institution, says the network lost its way when it started telling listeners how to think."

Pretty telling article of the ends and outs of lefty media world. I never would have thought the media would go so far to push a narrative of untruth. TDS is a real thing.

He's telling it like it is. NPR isn't the only network who has lost their way. I'm having a hard time thinking of any that are exceptions.

Personally, I think this opinion piece is completely off-base. Modern day Republicans do not want an article that is unbiased or fact-based only with no opinion. They want a source that is 100% aligned with their world view. We even saw this with Fox News, arguably the preeminent right wing source, when they refused to completely lie about the outcome of the last general election. We had Republicans calling for their boycott because they called states based on data metrics and not based on their feelings.

Even though their “journalists” pushed a narrative of unproven fraud, which ultimately caused them a substantial financial penalty, that wasn’t enough for team maga.

Any media organization that is attempting to pander to these people have already discredited themselves in exchange for subscribers.

Per the article only 3 out of 10 people think NPR is trustworthy….and they scored higher than CNN and The NY Times.

Completely off base? Did you even read the story and what he said about Schiff and Russia, Hunter Biden's laptop and the china virus? This guy is an NPR insider and you're accusing Fox of exactly what he said NPR is doing. 87 democrat employees and zero republican employees.

You bashed Fox in a thread about NPR and you even broke a liberal commandment: you accused Fox of being honest.

NPR is losing conservative viewers because those viewers overwhelmingly tune into Fox News, Newsmax, and other RW media, so they can get their confirmation bias.

Looking at it objectively, NPR is still the ONE place where politicians from both sides get fair and professional interviews, rather than the host doing partisan monologues. That's why conservative politicians still agree to interviews with NPR.

I did read it — I agree with him that NPR needs a more unbiased and accurate reporting structure as it leans pretty heavy but I disagree that maga will even consider it as they don’t consider moderate news to be legitimate. We have a ton here that call AP and Reuters left wing.

And Fox News does have some honest parts, their polling is especially accurate — but overall they lean towards pandering to the magas

That was funny. Oddly Fox is the one channel that offers both sides of every political issue. It actually does that. Of course, you wouldn't know that if you don't watch it. In fact they often use clips from the other media to provide. They have liberal guests on several time per day to debate with conservative ones. Are they right leaning? No doubt. Do they argue against liberal ideology? For sure. But they air that ideology. You uninformed position is rejected.

Weird, the editor in the OP didn't mention any of that and actually highlighted his own organizations bias. Can you document your claim? Because we have an actual editor of the content presenting the exact opposite of your claim.

Yep, Fox News has their token "liberal" idiots, pretending that they are unbiased. Those token "liberals" are there for the purpose to be ridiculed, to show the audience the wrongs of the liberal viewpoint. The late Alan Colmes on Hannity and Colmes was the first to serve this role, may he rest in peace. You not be able to see this strategy means that Fox has trained you well.

And how the hell do you know what "modern day" Republicans want? You hear it on NPR? That'sts real a scream when we see some of the nonsense NPR and other left-leaning outlets feed you guys.

Catering to conservatives seems to be a pretty successful business model, especially when lib outlets are laying off people. Did you know CNN advertises on the Fox News website?

Um.. you didn't prove your claim that the OPs article was due to conservatives not listening to NPR.

You kinda side stepped that little tid bit to keep pushing your narrative.

You didn’t address a single point I made. In order to reject anything you must follow between the lines not invent a new road.

They do have liberal guests but mostly mock them — but not much more is expected from Republicans any longer. That doesn’t negate that they pushed fraud so much that they were sued (and lost) but not heavily enough to satisfy team maga.

Oh I agree 100%. Which is ironic coming from the side that says they are spoon fed a media narrative.

Yes, Republican pandering and catering is indeed a successful business model. Which is why I find it funny when any of you complain again the MSM while liberals and moderates are shunning the MSM, cons have embraced it.

Here’s the problem with the MSM.
    And this.
When you’re unwilling to tell the truth, you’re no longer engaging in journalism, you’re a propagandist.

You're completely lost if you think the things you said don't perfectly describe the left.

I think you missed the part where NPR outright fabricated stories to avoid the real news, like Hunter's laptop, and Schiff's Russia BS. That's really what Republicans are against. What I find hilarious is that absurdity that some of the feeble minds believe the outlandish lies, like the Hunter's laptop. Just read this board when 51 "intelligence agents" said it was russian disinformation without even f'ing process it. It was laughable but NPR knew the feeble would lap it up damaging any thoughts of an objective media.

Hunters laptop was an election interference campaign and we already see Russian agents like Smirnov.

If you actually read the reports intelligence agents believed it was fraud because of the mass of evidence and the way it was discovered and then handled. They never said the data was illegitimate only that it had all of the makings of an information campaign designed to smear Joe.

Which it was and still is. But I do look forward to Democrats not only investigating future Republican presidents but also their immediate family for even an indication of a personal loan to their offspring not being reported properly.

I highlighted the journalists pushing unproven fraud.

Yes I can produce leftist journalist pushing unproven fraud in the 2016 election....and you know it.

Either way, that you couldn't admit it shows just how partisan you are. You perfectly described the left and are acting like it only applies to the right.....so yes, you're lost.

Christ you are out of touch. Fox News is dying along with the other MSM outlets. In a world of social media, why would anybody listen to curated content? The only people paying attention to MSM anymore are baby boomers and older. Independent content creators who have no ties to billionaire elites are far more interesting than braindead automatons forced to spout the opinions of their paymasters. My greatest fears is that billionaires offer the independents huge sums of money to subvert them OR ban than from the internet altogether.
