No. There are plenty of people who love rock and metal that are not drug addicts or criminals, and there are plenty of people who love classical music who are drug addicts.
I love classical music, and I love rock and metal. They are very similar in many ways. If Beethoven, Mozart, and the rest had access to distortion and amplifiers with volume that went to 11, I guarantee they would composing some heavy ****.

Have you ever looked at the results of the Dr. Masaru Emoto research on how various words..... and music... affected H2O?

Classical music when it was modern was rock and roll. And rock and roll is from the past to it's becoming classical. I'm not sure about Beethoven but many of the classical musicians had drug problems.

    That's not a new thing.

So now typically artists fall into the drug use doesn't matter which century.

I love classical music too with an exception of Chopin. My favorite is Grieg. Beethoven was a legend. But I'll listen to black metal and sludge too

“rock music leads to drug addiction and crime”. That is not how drug addiction begins. The seeds of addiction are planted in childhood. Children born into dysfunctional homes in which healthy problem resolution skills are not taught or mirrored by adults are more likely to abuse substances.

Dr. Gabor Mate has written extensively on the topic and I would recommend picking up his book on the subject if you are interested in a deeper understanding of the causality of addiction.

Addiction cares nothing about one’s cultural status. Addiction knows no economic or social boundary.

That's a very overly simplified statement that doesn't really have much support.

Have you ever listened to Bohemian Rhapsody? It really blurs the line between the two genres.

Metallica recorded some music with a symphony orchestra. Does this mean they were all high?

And as others have pointed out, we don't have any way of really knowing what classical artist may or may not have been under the influence of at the time.

Virtually all music and art throughout human history, has been influenced by the substances that man consumes.

I'm not quite sure why you specifically singled out Jewish violinist instead of just saying classical music? That's a bit....hhhmmm...

I think it's based on the fans. And you go to a traditional classical music concert everybody wears a tie and a jacket because it's 1945 and they drink champagne and little masturbation abounds.

So kind of like how you can find some dirty hobo off the street clean them up and put a lab coat on him automatically he's an authority that you can trust with medical advice automatically people who dress like it's 1945 command the level of respect despite the fact that drug abuse in that group of people is as common as it is anywhere else.

I think they're just more discreet about it and people think that makes them better or more dignified.

It's like ballet versus break dancing there's a lot of common elements between the two I appreciate both but one involves a bunch of Street kids in Street kid clothing and the other is all sophisticated and antiquated.

And to further compound things..... I went through a period of time where I listened to a lot of classical music and I did not stop drinking or smoking while listening.

I've been pretty close but not in the black metal crowd I have a few friends that are in bands. So I get invites to concerts and I've never touched any drug except for marijuana. And I do not drink very much at all.

Also there was Ronnie James Dio, and Dee Snider from twisted sister they were tee totalers. Dio was a legend. And twisted sister and all the dated was really culturally popular at their time.
